Welp, this is how my Zula Maratac Strap looks like after 10 years of EDC. The strap has gone through extensive scuba diving, natural hot springs, waterfalls, swimming pools, and jacuzzi's. The strap has traveled through the jungles of Belize, the steppes of Mongolia, the snow on Mt Whitney, to the deserts of Australia.

New replacement on left. The old on the right (obviously). Same British Grey color.

The highlights are a bit blown out. The light areas are actually a bit darker, but the iphone exposed for the darker areas.

I don't drink my own pee.

I do enjoy adventure travel though.

    @Screehopper

Ha! I only asked because you mentioned Australia and Belize. My Wife is from Belize. It used to be British Honduras and British soldiers still go to the jungle there for practice:)

I along with some others drove from Belize to Panama off the beaten path in a pair of Defender 110's back in 2011. While in Belize, as we were driving on a narrow dirt road with tall jungle on both sides of us we heard rapid firing of machine guns. We were trying to figure out what was going on. Our initial thoughts were: Are we going to get kidnapped? Then eventually we saw a sign stating that it was a military training area. What a relief. This was day two of our trip.

Watch is 13 years old. The watch originally came with rubber straps which eventually tore off from the spring bar.

I for one would love to see a higher resolution photo of a 007 old enough for its Bar Mitzvah.

    Why are you changing it?

It still looks serviceable, and has so much character and history!

As far as I can tell the difference between the 007 and 013 is just the size. I can't see the difference with nothing to compare.

Or am I missing a joke?

Oh, there's no joke on my part.

It looked from the OP's pic (guessing from the look/ size of the strap relative to the watch head), that it was smaller than the SKX007. So my guess was that it was an SKX013 not an SKX007, that's all.

You might be right because the 007 has marks on the chapter ring next to the date window while the 013 doesn't because there isn't room.

That appears to be the case in OP's pic as well.

I miss my 007. I sold it because I already had a more expensive black-faced auto diver and didn't want to have two watches in the same category. In retrospect I should have saved a thousand bucks and kept my 007.

Not to take this on a tangent, but what is this black diver you speak of?

I don't have a good photo of it, but I EDC a MKII Sea fighter.

This one, actually. I reviewed it right after I bought it.
