I put in a pre-order as soon as it opened up on a particular store and I haven't heard anything. It's driving me nuts.
Some random person on blade forums posted that it would be released near xmas time but who knows that validity of that. GP Knives' preorder says a Q2 2014 estimate.
Really digging that pocket clip! Hopefully this comes out soon. I didn't preorder it, so I'll have to wait for the second batch.
I have a site that says July 2014 for all of the kershaws ans ZTs. Which makes sense since BladeHQ just got in the protos of the kershaw/emerson collabs.
I just called them and they said mid summer. Anyone have a reputable dealer suggestion who will take a pre-order? Thanks!

Well, I'm more than adequately happy with my ELMAX 0562 G10 version as my user. I can't afford any safe-queens right now, while feeding my knife addiction (users), even though it IS an investment now. Good on those of you who managed to get your hands on this gem.
I'm perfectly happy with my G-10/Elmax version, as well. I love the texture of the G-10 and I prefer the stonewashed finish to the two tone. I have a weird compulsion to protect "shiny". I can use the stonewash without nagging brain tricks.
Same here, for the exact same reasons! I never understood the extreme fascination with the more expensive CF/M390 version, when the G10/ELMAX is perfection.
I chose the cf/m390 version. I've never had anything in carbon fiber and I wanted the m390 over the elmax. I could never get elmax as sharp as I wanted on my 0566.
For me, it's a question of Elmax vs M390. Kind of like Corvette vs Chevette. And yes, in my experience that is an appropriate comparison... On the other hand, I much prefer the g10 over the CF. Better grip and feeling IMHO. Of course, the Micarta on mine trumps both.
Whoa, that sounds a bit extreme. What cars would be AUS-6, 420, 8Cr13MoV, 154CM, VG10, CPM-154, D2, S35VN, S30V, etc.? Generally when people compare something to a Chevette, it rates pretty low on the totem pole. ELMAX is supposedly rated better than the steels I just listed, so I'm wondering where it falls on your chart - below AUS-6? Did you have issues with an improper Heat Treat or something? I've heard ZT had trouble in that area for a while, but worked it all out. You're making me feel really bad about my favorite knife right now (ZT 0562 - ELMAX/G10). Dang.
