Why are Zippo pocket slips not a thing? I see a lot of belt pouches but no pocket slips. When I'm wearing loose pants and sit in a recliner or couch, my lighter tends to fall out. I recently bought some leather and a stitching kit, so that will be an easy first project, I imagine. I figure a leather slip with a grommet and lanyard would give it more surface area and traction, but I wish I could see some examples of something similar for inspiration.

Ranger band works well enough for me to keep it in my jeans pocket. Nowhere near as nice as a leather slip but I have enough crap in my pockets. I like the band because it's thin, rolls down (never leaves the lighter), and helps slow down fuel loss. Last one is questionable but it seems to work in my head.

I've seen a few combo slips that hold a small knife and a zippo on here in the past but don't think I've ever seen one for just a zippo. Have a go and post pictures, I've love to see it if nobody else does.

Who said anything about smoking? I have two zippos and one other lighter that I rotate through my EDC on a regular basis. I quit smoking a little over four years ago. And it's usually a smoker who comes up and asks to borrow one of my lighters. They almost always ask, "If you quit smoking, why do you carry a lighter?" My answer?

    "Because you don't."

Have you tried looking on Etsy.com? Usually a good place to look for various crafted items....

Yeah I know but I'm not making any claims one way or the other about it.

Quit years ago, what does that have to do with carrying a zippo?

There's 3 things you should always have on your person whether you smoke or not.
    1. A lighter
    2. A knife
    3. A flashlight

Yes, I've looked quite a bit on etsy. There are some belt pouches that could work with the belt loop/clip removed but really no dedicated slip that I could see.
