From what I've read elsewhere, Kershaw is notorious for that. They have a huge lead in time before a release to advertise something coming soon, then never update after tis actually released... Their PR department apparently sucks.

I have the the original Black Cryo (1555BLK) and I love the look of the finish. The knife's edge is incredibly sharp but I find that it still doesn't cut through cardboard well, perhaps the blade thickness?

According to Kershaw's horribly out of date website they only list a Ti version for the Cryo II, you guys hear anything about a black version?

In this price range an Ontario Rat 2 or Spyderco Persistence is where to spend your money.

For $50 a Spyderco Delica is head and shoulders aboventhe competition. ;)

Picked up a Cryo 2 the other day. Besides the weight, the knife is awesome. Fast deployment, deep pocket carry, flipper design, and strong frame lock. If Kershaw could just put a G10 scale on the non-lock side, this knife would be near-perfect. Especially for under $50!

Many of you will find this astounding, but I recently traded my Delica for a Cryo (plus some $). Don't get me wrong, the Delica was awesome and I used it hard, but after I handled a friend's Cryo, I fell in love with it. I EDC it everyday with my Cadet and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Maybe I will pick up a Cryo II someday.

In regards to traction and the slippery-ness of the knife, yeah, I think that it is a bit on the slick side. So this weekend I am taking a fine round file and putting some nice straight grooves in the handle to give it a bit more grip. Other than that, I absolutely love mine!

I have to say after carrying mine for some months now it's one of my favorite and trusted edc knives, I don't even notice it in pocket and the smooth saves my pocket tops which I'm sick of losing.

As an update to my previous post, I just got an email back from the Kershaw support team and they said to be on the lookout sometime around the end of November for availability of all Cryo II models. Which includes the standard TI model that's out now as well as a bead blasted model, a black model (what I'm looking forward to most), and a serrated TI model.

I've had the Cryo for about a year, holds an edge, pops out fast, a little small for the weight but it feels solid, cuts heavy leather like a champ. Resists folding a little.
Ordered the Cryo II and it came within in week, had it for almost two weeks. Bigger, heavier, same great edge, same size spring so it pops slower due to the larger blade, resists folding less for same reason. Very glad I bought it but for some reason it didn't jump to the head of my EDC carry list. Not sure why.

I think its a cool looking knife.
Two things I personally don't like. Weight, no traction.
I love the price. Scored mine for 28 on amazon.

Putting a carbon fiber scale on mine shaved off a full ounce! Now it is light and small. My choice when wearing sport shorts around the house or if I want to just slide it in a pocket.

Decided to do a black blade with the Ti frame. I like the way it looks like my ZT550BLK

I love mine, edc it because of the small size. I don't want to scare anybody by pulling out some huge knife. I work in people's houses and so far have not gotten any comments. I love the assisted opening, feels pretty good in hand, not the best steel but for around $30 what can you expect.
