And a portable USB backup power bank PB2S is also necessary for charging your small electronics easily outdoors! And off-the-grid trips of a week or more are likely to need a solar charger or power station.
I do a ton of camping and hiking. The only electronic things I carry is a flashlight and a few batteries. Even then I try not to use them as much as I can.
I usually only comment on XTAR threads when I see something I like, but outdoor activities are close to my heart and I do a lot of it, and hence I thought could offer my feedback on why this doesn't appeal to me. Outdoor activities are often associated with weight and size constraints that require deliberation when choosing and packing items for a specific trip or activity. Pre-made kits are anything but deliberate and mostly about avoiding real planning (easy solution for items that might be nice to have) and packing your fears (what if?). Put in the effort, find out what you need, pack just that and get there faster, safer and with more energy to enjoy the destination as well as the scenery and experiences along the way.
