Us EDC addicts can't get enough of
gear. We use them, collect them, flip them, or give them away as gifts.

But what is that one edc item you absolutely love, that has been there with you, that you will never part with?

Not the most expensive, not the brightest, and doesn't have any modes but one. I've bought bigger and brighter lights and have tried to put this light aside, but it always finds a way in my pocket. Its really starting to show its marks but it works just as good as the day I bought it.

My watch. 17+ years. Every day except when it's being serviced.

My keychain would apply here. Whistle reminds me of my family, keychain art reminds me of a forum friend.

Don't EDC mine anymore but my HP48SX was it. Sits in a drawer now because I do IT and not engineering.

I don't think I have such an item [IMG]

Right now I would say my Enzo Birk, Voodoo Zippo (in avatar) & titanium S10, but based on experience I think it's safe to assume those will one day be replaced with something yet to be discovered

Love and inanimate objects.... We dilute the word too easily.

Was having trouble sleeping last night, as the brain just wouldn't shut down even though I was dead tired. Closed my eyes anyway. On the verge of giving up, I felt a furry forehead rammed against mine. Opened my eyes to Sita lying on her back, staring upside down back at me with her "You really want to scratch my tummy" look. I was asleep within 5 minutes.

    That's love-worthy.

So far, either this McGizmo LS20.2 or my Spy 007T.
The McGizmo has been my EDC since the day it showed up in the mail almost 4 years ago and has been on many adventures and had lots of different emitters and driver combinations over that time..
This light has never been babied, It's fallen and skidded across the street when I was riding my bike, it's popped bottle tops, it's been used as a hammer, submerged, dropped more times than I can count, and always reliably illuminated my path. Truly a great companion.
Nice part is that I can run some #0000 steel wool around it from time to time and it almost looks new again. :D
Now that I have 4 levels to choose from either the flood or reflector, the light is about at it's most useful form yet. The moon mode is so nice.

I've only had it a few weeks, but it's become a security blanket kind of thing for me. I love the density of it. I'm a tactile person so the way something feels is pretty important to me. I use it at work all the time: The Victorinox Handywoman. Well, Handyman but women can be handy too!

No surprise... Spyderco Endura. Nearly 25 years with the same knife (model).

I mean, do any of you know another folder that can fell a tree? Best knife ever!

    Hyperbole, it's the BEST!

That's a real long time to prove that a knife can do that particular task. I admire your perseverance.:)

And yet the Tenacious isn't my favorite. Go figure.

If you would have said "persistence" 2%, I could have really hit out of the park.

The first part of my EDC and the one I've had the longest, 2 decades plus and counting. Got it from the Marlboro Adventure Team Promo and thought it was a Spartan. After further searching, I found out it's the retired Standard model since it lacks tweezers, toothpick, and key ring. Besides the fact that without the key ring I've never lost it( knock on wood) I've lost the tweezers and toothpicks out of others. Considering I've made shelter, fire, saved my life with it, and helped damsels in distress, I wouldn't leave home without it.
