I did a cursory search here and didn't really find anything dedicated to gloves...I'm not talking about winter gloves but more the utility version.

Over the years I've use a few different ones but keep coming back to the same ones. My current EDC glove is the hatch specialist (for LE/Security use) and when these wear out (which will be soon) I'm probably to go back to the tactical all black plain Mechanix Wear ones. I'd love to see what you guys use. [IMG]

    Original Mechanix gloves...

Really like the latest version; the velcro for the wrist closure seems to be better than ever.

Thanks. I just did a search for gloves and didn't come up with anything in the first little bit.

I haven't had that problem; but then again I usually wear through the leather before I have any other problems.

I consider it acceptable because I just use them so hard.

Yes. The velcro stitching is already coming off on mine that I have used maybe 20 times.

Went to " Ironclad" at work about 4 years ago and haven't looked back so a pair of their light weight was the perfect choice for my edc bag.
The pair I use at home gave up the ghost this past fall but only after 2 full seasons of landscaping my yard and a winter of remodeling in side....

....that's new wood floors, new pantry, new wall in the bedroom for the new closet, new tub/shower, complete electric rewire with a new service and panel ( ok I hired the service I did the rewire and panel ), dug out 20 - 50 year old shrubs, moved and spread 7 ton river rock, laid 200 pavers built a small retaining wall planted 2 trees and 20 plants of pampas grass....

....did I mention they cost about 15 bucks?[IMG]

I went through a pair of really nice mechanix gloves in a week at my old job. Started going disposable after that.

I love my Mechanix gloves but hate the crappy Velcro fastening.....are there any gloves with a similar fit and feel available for the same (or less!) money?
I was thinking the 5.11 station gloves or the UnderArmour ones?

M-Pact Coyote, can't be beat at the price point of $35.00. I have smaller hands that can be a challenge to find gloves that fit properly. The fit measurement scale that they let you print out was spot on for me with the medium gloves.

So I was sitting on the couch, eating ice-cream watching the biggest loser (excellent feeling), whilst I was watching these poor souls haul chains along the beach, they were wearing some peculiar gloves that I'd never seen before. I was in the market for some new gloves for putting in my day pack, so I did some searching.......
I came across a company called ironclad! These were the gloves on TV. Did some more searching and found that Bunnings sold them. (Like Australian Home Depot). So I bought these for $40 AUD. I have some mechanix originals that I have been using for road rescue, but these definitely are on par at first glance! I got the wrenchworx, they also sell more tactical inspired gloves as well. Has anyone else come across this brand, thoughts?
