Spyderco Delica 4 for me. Picked mine up brand new for $45!
Spyderco Native 3 FRN ($37 when I bought it at Walmart), Swiss Army Classic, Swiss Army Champion Plus ($24 on sale at Amazon). Forgot: Ka-Bar Heavy Bowie $40 at FED Tactical Direct.
delica, id say. 50 or less if you shop around. great steel and ergonomics
Spyderco Tenacious, Persistance or Delica. Or a Sak is always classy and very usefull.
My favourite budget blade has to be...
SRM710. Beat on it, abused it. Still a tighter lockup than any other sub $50 folder.
No flak from me, I have one with the layered red and black G10 and it is a really nice knife. I only have two little problems with it. The pocket clip doesn't really, and there's a sharp point on the lock that digs into my finger when holding it. Otherwise it's a nice solid big folder. It certainly flips open with a satisfyingly solid thunk.
CRKT Pazoda is a nice $20 knife, just make sure you know how to sharpen a blade well.
All the best

Mine was the opposite, way too loose. Easy enough to fix, tho, just undo the screws and do a little bending.
That it does!
Weird. Mine is super tight. Can't open it with one hand. Gonna have to work on the pivot a little I guess.
I got a deal on my Delica a year ago for $51 if that counts. I love that. Tenacious, cryo, skyline, rat 1 are also great knives
What is the yellow? I like it.
Yeah this thread is costing me...
The Soddies are great all-around knives at a very affordable price. I have a handful of the Case ones.
Quoted a few posts above:
Queen Cutlery Country Cousin w/D2 steel blade
Just testing the waters. Which means I will probably dive in head first in a week.
I ordered three Chinese knives thanks to this post, an Enlan and two Sanrenmu.
Who can blame you? I went and bought six Sanrenmu knives, three 605 mini knives, and three A123 keyring knives. Probably sell two of each locally and share my newly acquired love of knives. Also something advertised as a Kershaw 1920 multi-tool, because I was curious about what it was like.
Oops..curse me for not reading the thread.
