i've carried that pack quite a bit. I wore it on my last trip to Mexico for hours at a time in the 95 degree weather with 95 percent humidity. It's a great pack. I wasn't sure I'd like the shoulder straps, but I wouldn't want anything different now. I know they seem pricey, but you wont ever have to buy another unless you just want to.

This is my toploader. It’s an old Swedish army pack, LK35. Bombproof, cheap (at least here in Sweden) and roomy.

Arc'Teryx Arrakis. Mine is a 40 (tall, so actually 43.) Daypack is a Arro 22. I've owned several 5.11, Maxped, and examined TT, Kifaru. The Arrakis and LEAF division of Arc'Teryx has amazing, though pricey stuff.

    Saitta,

What I think is: I owe you a 'finders fee' for turning me on to this massiveMostimpressive pack.

    Under $80,including UPS shipping.
Amazingly light,to be so daym big.
This thing will hold 2 loaded Rush 72's and 2 loaded Haz 4 Rocket packs, unless I miss my guess.
EXACTLY what I wanted, because larger men need larger bags.
And it's the first pack with a frame that I've owned since 1977.

PM me your address; I have a small EDC package I'll send you.

Thanks, Gnarly, for the kind words. I don't really think you owe me anything, but I'll PM you. The other good thing about this pack is that there are a gazillion ACU add-ons that you can buy cheap from surplus stores, on online at eBay, and other places.

Should also mention that my pack had a slight musty smell, but a half of a bottle of Fabreeze spray took care of that problem.
