That Urban Dart brought back some memories. In the early 80's ('81~'85), I lived and worked in Taiwan for the first time. There was a very active dart league amongst the various pubs in the nightlife district (no NOT a red-light district... that was a separate area! ). Consisted of both ex-pats and locals. Needless to say, the dart boards at said pubs were actually busy most nights, not only on Wednesdays (seems to be the most popular nite of the week in MANY countries for actual league matches...). One of the more 'interesting' things was to watch some of the local 'tough guys' (their employers were shall we say somewhat unsavory....!) when they were playing darts. They'd place the dart in their open hand, palm up, with the point towards the finger tips. Then flip the dart under-handed. And were accurate as hell! One could only wonder what other pointy objects they practiced with .... Most ex-pats gave these guys 'respect' and a wide berth.... ! Am Yisrael Chai! Moshe ben David
I have a very old Gerber boot knife that has been used exactly the way you described a couple of times...don’t look at it much any more...I’ll try and dig it out and snap a picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Champion on top, 72-73, I believe. Swiss Champ on the bottom, 86-87. Time flies when one is having fun... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
