Worksharp fieldsharpener cleaning?

    How do you guys clean your Worksharp field sharpeners? The diamond plates are a no brainer, but the ceramic rods are not removable. I used to clean my Spyderco Sharpmaker rods with abrasive cleaners and run them under water, but that's not an option with the field sharpener because of the leather strop. Has anybody figured out how to remove the ceramic rods safely?

    I clean mine with a pencil eraser

    I cut a rectangular pencil eraser to fit underneath the diamond slab and store inside so it is always with the sharpener.

    I just push the pin out and remove the ceramic rod. Than I clean it like I clean sharpmaker rods, with an abrasive cleaner and scotchbright
