Made these a few weeks ago. Figured walnut and cherry. The cherry protrusions the watches go on are adjustable for wrist size. I figure if I ever really need more than four watches I've gone too far (heresy!). Glasses stand. By the eldritch darkness, I got sick of pawing around for glasses when I wake up. Cocobolo rosewood and Birdseye maple with a strip of serious luminous material that charges naturally during the day and glows easily through the night. The actual cup is off Amazon, but I decided it needed a new base as the original was prone to getting knocked over.
Beautiful work on the watch holder! And you really do NEED more than 4 watches. After all, there are 7 days in a week!
That watch stand is gallery worthy. If I were you, I'd make a few more & approach some Licensed Rolex Dealers - just my 2 cents... Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
Thanks! I've always felt it's nice to have gallery worthy things about. It's amazing what a fairly simple design will do when you overbuild it with beautiful materials and add some ergonomic angles. I'm not a production woodworker in this sense, but I have some one in mind I'll be passing the design onto. Who knows where things will go?
Get it in writing... I only have one watch (G Shock GA-100SD - I'm tough on my gear) & it's always on my wrist, but I know a few people that would appreciate your work. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
