Ain't my money.
50 mags sounds like a lot, but will probably only barely be enough to last your life if you are very careful.
Lego's aren't for men???
how you reckon?
I guess it depends on how much you shoot, but 50 mags should last a lot longer than the rest of this guys life unless he's putting thousands of rounds through per month, even then.... mags last a long time, wearing out FIFTY of them wont be easy.
And I go back to the fact that springs are cheaper than mags.
This thread is just silly; a better title would have been "Why Did I Outfit Myself Like I Am Operating In A War Zone While Paying Panic Prices For Gear". You could have learned to run your AR with iron sights bone stock really well and then used that lesson to build onto the AR platform what you found would enhance it's performance/ergonomic interface with the operator, (you).
All of the extra money you dumped into that rifle could have gotten you a couple weeks of really excellent instruction. If you had done that you would be running that AR stock much better than you will be running your tricked out Modern Warfare toy two years from now. Live and learn I guess.
Didnt pay panic prices on anything, $16 a mag and $300 a case is about the going rate before the panic.
I'm far from a new shooter, and have a few classes and a bunch of matches under my belt.
I've been shooting since I was physically able to hold a rifle, I'm more or less
I've shot a number of friends ARs, and pretty much know what I like and dislike in a rifle.
The point of the thread was more of a joke than anything.
JDA - so do you keep loaded mags in your jeep and stuff?
I only carry one type of ammo-memebombs
I always thought ammo in Call of Duty was free, as long as you purchase the game
What's real life??!
LOL I picked up my LMT Sopmod LNIB on the used market for $50 you overpaid for other stuff as well.
I down voted it. I couldn't tell if it was boasting or just being baited into reading this thread.
Someone did something similarly tongue in cheek a little while ago and it went over just as bad as this. It seems weird to me that these kind of joking statements fall so flat here since for the most part people here seem to have a good sense of humor
Why would it be boasting? Almost all of our "gear fetishes" can grow out of control. Do I really need 50 flashlights? No, but I've got them
50 magazines may be a bit much, but the way things are looking now that could be a HUGE investment for the future. And you can NEVER have
too much ammunition
The only concern I have is that he put down less than $2500 on a new Jeep. Don't be a fool, buy used and pay cash. Ya, I know, way off topic. Sorry.
Ha. See my username for my opinion on that.
its just money, no complaints on my end.
I thought you were planning to enlist when you turned 18. Won't the military provide you with a weapon?
Yea, but wheres the fun in that?
As long as he doesn't try to take any of the Gucci Gear with him to boot camp, he'll be alright.
