I have 3 I typically carry, one is a black and tan Recycled Firefighter nomex hank. The other is a Pocket Hanks hank in "Seven Seas" print. The third, no pic, is a black hank with blue line and my badge number on it. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
curse you guys! I just bought a Recycled Firefighter black/brown nomex hankie! (thanks for the heads-up, lol)
I normally carry a bandana with me to wipe the sweat off my forehead. It's the ones you can by from the dollar store or Walmart.
Actually, I tend to carry old army hankies, cheap, reliable and perfect for "throw-away/hand me down", if needed...
You always need A handkerchief and I buy the 3 pack at Walmart different colors they are great after a few washes soft and absorbent.
I've been carrying a bandana or handkerchief for as long as I can remember. I agree, the handkerchief is an underrated bit of EDC. I bet my bandana gets used more than my flashlight. Definitely gets used more than fire tools or firearms. Probably a Swiss Army knife is the only bit of EDC that gets used more frequently than the bandana. Like you, I sew my own, although I have several purchased hankies, too. They get washed regularly, so I like having a few back-ups. I make mine a bit on the large side (27-29"). During 2020, the bandana got displaced by a Buff which was acceptable as a mask in some places. The Buff serves similar roles, but I generally prefer a silk or cotton dew rag.
