Had the AK-47 along-for-the-ride today:
SOG SEAL XR landed-today. This one is definitely in the 'warblade-class'.
For such a beefy monster knife, I’ve been very impressed with how well it carries

I agree with your assessment. This one rocks, man! Glad to see SOG is starting to come-back. They lost-me for awhile, after they discontinued the Fat Cat.
Carrying the DLT exclusive for today's lift:
My 'Big **S' folder is a Schrade Tanto frame-lock folder I bought one time. I ordered it from KHQ or someplace (I don't remember exactly) sight unseen. When the box arrived I thought they shipped me (5) knives! This thing is HEAVY!! Seems like it weighs about 6 lbs! I don't know what I'd ever do with the thing, but if worse came to worse I could throw it at someone and clock them out cold with it!
I haven't quite figured out what to do with this knife yet, but I figure it would be good for slaying Wolly Mammoths / Mastodon's or some such. I did read some of the reviews and they said it was big and heavy, but I figured...Bah! I'm a big guy, I can handle it! Then I stuck it in in my pants pocket and had to walk around holding my britches up to keep them above my knees. Plus, I kept walking around in circles when carrying it, and one arm got longer than the other. Then I figured I'd just keep it in my truck, but suddenly my truck started getting 4 mpg less going down the road. Holy cow! Is this thing HEAVY!!
So, this is my 'Big **S' folder. For whatever it's worth...
I remember this blade and lament not buying one. It was a cheap "TANK" of a blade that could do anything and you would not regret doing it, then trying again. This definitely meets E.D.'s "war blade/big a_ _ folder definition.
Congrats on the pick up! This is still on my list but honestly...AD10 is probably gonna be drafted next or the hulk 4Max Scout.
I'm currently, conflicted between the SR1 folder, and the Bush Ranger.
"TANK" is definitely the correct word to use to describe this knife! I've been tempted to see what it will endure (i.e. chopping concrete, cutting down giant redwoods, or possibly tall buildings (...with a single chop)). It wasn't all that expensive really, considering the weight. Heck, it's probably got the purchase price of the bulk steel alone in it. Seriously, it is probably the heaviest 'knife' I own. I've got axes and parangs which probably weigh more, but as far as knives go this one is definitely the heaviest. It will flip open, primarily because the blade is so heavy just the pure physics of it make it have to do something. You have to hang onto it though when you do flip it open because if you don't it will easily fly out of your hand (not a good thing).
I still see them available online if you're really interested in getting one. Just know though...this thing is HEAVY!
I know...if I bought this it would be a truck bag blade or one I absolutely abused for pleasure around the campfire and in the field without remorse. For the price, why not and I suspect....you can't break that tank man.
Dessert Warrior XXL
I believe the Zero Tolerance 0308 would be considered a big knife. Just got this in the mail Thursday and loving it!
