I've been very biased toward small folders, they simply make more sense in my life. That said, I'm warming up to some larger folders as I gain more experience and realize where they make sense for me to use. It's not love yet, but there is clearly something going on.. First BAF out the gate was the Manix 2, maybe a regular size for many, but I consider it large. Avoided it for a long time, thinking the handle wouldn't fit my smaller sized hand very well. I was so wrong. Seems like this one is staying. My biggest a** folder yet. the Native Chief, pictured together with its regular sized brother for size reference. I've uncovered a use case for a folder of this style, so I got it as a test to see how it works out in real life. It's clearly designed to accommodate larger paws, but the handle is neutral enough to work surprisingly well for my size mitts. Very positively surprised by that. Only had it a couple of days, so still too early to conclude in terms of practical use.
Just realized that my Spyderco Siren, Spyderco Pacific salt and Cold steel american lawman all beat the Manix 2 on blade length, cutting edge and overall length (the Am. Lawman only by a hair though). Yet non of them are as beefy, so the Manix 2 feels like a bigger knife than it actually is.
Most of my folders have a similar size. Here are some: No idea why the pic is shown in this lousy quality. Sorry.
