I just ordered the AnkerĀ® Astro E4 13000mAh from Amazon. It should meet my needs as I just need it to top off an iPad 2 and my phone while on the road.

I have this model and have nothing to complain about. It does the job and was a decent price.

I've been trying to search for a decent one for quite some time.. I'm not talking about solar like goal zero but a power pack to get a few charges from for my phone, tablet, or my daughters ipod.

I have a little energizer one that takes quite some time and is only good for one charge.. Not to mention it has slight constant drain.

I've been looking at a dewalt power pack that uses their 12 or 20 volt batteries to provide USB charging..

    Anyone use the dewalt?

Does anyone have any other options?

Just received a Halo StarLight 3000 for a gift. Charging now. I guess the 3000 is 3000mAh.

I have a mophie juice pack. Its available at most major electronic stores, and comes in diff batt sizes with more or less output plugs. Very handy for on the go charging of smart phones and tablets.

Does anyone make a portable power pack that will charge my HP slate 7 tablet? I like the tablet but have not been able to charge it except with the supplied AC home charger, although it has the micro USB port my phone car charger or my goal zero battery pack will not charge it. Are the voltages different?

I have a little 2600mAh charger I got at princess auto the other day for $17, almost charges my HTC One X to full when empty and the size is perfect to keep in a pocket when I'm out for the day.

One that I have not seen mentioned but is worth a look is the ENB 2x18650 USB charger. I bought one six months ago after reading the review on BLF by HKJ (sticky under gear for flashlight carriers). It's a comprehensive review on the electronics behind the output and the banks ability to charge it's cells.

Fasttech has them for less than $9 shipped. Very good bank for the money.

I can +1 the above recommendations for Anker products. I have a 8400mAh one which can charge two devices at once by USB, and also has a torch built in. Takes barely any time at all to charge it considering the capacity, which is 4 full charges of my Nexus 4. Well impressed!

I plan to get an Anker E5 soon. I researched power packs to give one as a gift, and I concluded the Anker products are very highly regarded by reviewers and purchasers.
