My Manager on the keys in combination with a 93mm Solo - for me the perfect urban EDC!
Nice photo, although not exactly urban.
Does the Solo ride loose in your pocket?

I have a Solo, too. It is 8.9mm thick and weighs about 45 grammes.
Compared to a cadet: 8.3mm thick and wighs about 47 grammes.
So those two will feel very similar in the pocket, and a Cadet just disappears until needed. The Solo is just half a mm thicker and 2gr lighter. But you'll have a longer and a lot beefier blade with stronger handles and a wider spine, but obviously you give up the screwdriver/openers/pry/hook functionality of the opener layer. If the small screwdrivers on an additional classic or manager/rambler are enough for you, then having a slim Solo is a nice combination to have the same proper strong blade like in a Pioneer or Farmer.
I always have a cadet in my pocket and I add a champ to my belt when I’m out of the city or travelling.

For better than a year, the only constant has been a Vic Manager in my jeans 5th pocket, and before that for longer than I can remember, a Rambler, basically the same Vic, except for the pen. Clipped to a Photon Freedom micro light, it has enough basics, short of pliers, to get through a typical day.
In the spring and summer, when there are yard and garden chores to be done, I dangle a Vic OH Trekker into my left front pocket, where it gets used almost daily until autumn is over, changed out occasionally with a Super Tinker, or a Sportsman for social evenings when the corkscrew can come in handy. I've pulled more corks with it than the dedicated corkscrew in our kitchen.
A Swisschamp used to be my only SAK for years until I got interested in multitools. Now I use it seldom, but always take it with me when traveling. However, if it ever came to having one only again, that would have to be it.
When a Leatherman thread comes up, I'll have more to add.
Thanks, That's right, not really urban, but at least I took the picture at the port of Brienz (3000 inhabitants)
Yes, I carry my knives (except the manager on the keychain) always loose in my pocket.
Fluxs`s informations I can fully confirm.
I work for a software company and sometimes EDC a Cybertool 34.
I alternate between a Alox Pioneer and a Climber in Stayglow yellow. Let them ride in the 5th pocket of my jeans or side pockets in my cargo's with a pen and notepad.
I am obsessed with the Yeoman right now and am hoping to get a custom one made. For readily available, I would go with the Leatherman Micra on a keychain.
I think everyone has their own requirements.
My personal EDC philosophy is to reduce everything to what I really need, really like and really enjoy.
And these are almost always the simple things.
I prefer to wear my knife loosely in the front pocket of my jeans, so I do not like knives with protruding corners and edges.
Most often in the urban area, I simply need a blade for food preparation. Cleaning technically there is a single blade optimal.
For me as a Alox and SAK fan the 93mm Solo is the perfect choice.
In combination with the manager on the keychain I have everything I need in the city.
I'm hoping victorinox will just start mass producing the yeoman!
I will be a buyer if they do offer it !
Posted this before but still enjoying the Compact. Carry regulary with a dangler.
For the last 2 and a half years my pocket carry SAK has been a Vic Executive. I have it on me absolutely everywhere. Even if I'm playing softball(monday night Co Rec, never gonna grow up!), my wallet, Executive, and phone are in my Maxped jumbo in the dugout. Actually, a lot is in that bag all the time but I make a point to throw the SAK and Wallet in when I head to the game.
Love hearing this. I've been carrying an Executive since I can remember. Most of the time it's the only tool I have on my person.

Realistically, if I have my Exec and a flashlight I'm usually good for urban needs. I always have a Leatherman on my belt too but it doesn't see much use in the office.
I dedicate a Vic Executive paired with a NiteCore Tube as my carry when I'm in a suit... not that much these days, but it works!

Some days that's all you need! I still feel very naked every time I have to go without my Leatherman...
