+1 on the TTi
-1 on the Thread Revival.
I carry the TTI. I am very impressed with it. I had a wave for a couple of years, but my brother lost it. Now I have this. I love it. This is my first line gear. They are going to have to pry it from my cold dead hands. If you don't have one, They are great. The bit kit that fits in the sheath is also an awesomely useful feature. The cutting hook is a lot more useful than it first looks. :woohoo:
Check it out.
Much like houdini28, my daily carry multitool was a first-gen LM-Wave. I've recently taken to keeping that in the FR-1 on my PFII and picked up a LM Juice CS4 to keep on me.
Did some wiring work on a friends head-unit out of his car this weekend, and while using the Juice wasn't traumatizing, after a while I did pull out the Wave. I like the Juice because it's smaller than the Wave, and I dislike the Juice because it's smaller than the Wave. In a pinch, I'll be happy to have the Juice, but for extended work (or using a multitool as a helping hand when soldering) I think I'll continue to use my Wave.
Finally got my multi tool carry where I like it (for now). Work: LM Juice S2. Off duty: LM P4. Off road: LM Wave (old). In BOB: LM Core. Plus various lights, folders, and SAKs of course.
Charge Ti with optional bit kit, bit extension, Peak Baltic AAA LED flashlight, 4" adjustable wrench, space pen and pocket widgy stuffed into the two Charge Ti holsters on my belt. Three trays of bits, pocket widgy (small crowbar) pen and wrench fit in one holster with the LM Charge Ti and other stuff in the other holster.
It works, performs well and fits in two small Charge holsters thanks to the four little side pockets. At the end of the day, it is good to be content with your EDC(s) :roof:
....and more recently, the LM Skeletool CX (it wasn't on the list).
I voted LM XTi because it was closest to what i carry - il give you one guess what :lolhammer:
It really is brilliant - AND S30V!
That S30V is amazing! I love the hell out of how sharp it is.
Gerber multitool, can't recall which model.
Need skeletool as option. And you need to remove all gerber options since they all fall under your "Freebie or Cheap, Made in China" category.
I guess I'm old school, I still use the LM Super Tool, PST II, and Micra. I did pick up a Core recently, just not taken it's place yet in a pack.
Those are some of Leatherman's finest built multitools.
Gerber Evolution 650
That's kinda how I feel about it too.
Home keys - Leatherman Squirt P4
Work keys - Leatherman Micra
At Work - Leatherman Skeletool & Gerber Flik
Other times - Leatherman Skeletool or Charge Ti or both
In my left front pocket LM Sideclip.
On keychain Craftsman model 45505.( I'm sure its built by somebody else)
Both have been broken and warrantied no questions asked.
In car bag trusty old Gerber tool. No model, but made in USA.
Bartsmom carries a LM Kick and Micra
Leatherman Charge always on me. No matter where i go or what i am doing.
I have it for over 3 years now got it as a birthday gift from my dad.
I am just not sure for the model name. It's the model without the scissors.
LM Skeletool needs to be added. I EDC that and an M4 Serbertool on my keychain(it ain't too bad, honest!).
LM Wave (new) on belt
LM P4 in pocket (sometimes - depending on the situation)
Wife has a Micra in her purse, but I should just claim it as mine since I think the only reason she carries it is because I gave it to her.
LM Fuse with pocket clip.
