Far and away the best I've seen is this one:

    CellSafe Key Cover

I have been using these for many years. They are totally effective, quick to access, versatile, and cheap.

Good thread. I've got an osgood marley keycase, but some of these look like a great (and cheap) alternative.

Too bad they only ship to the USA. Doesn't look too hard to make though, what material is it made of?

I second this. I have one and it is excellent. It prevents the keys from jingling and it prevents them from poking you when you carry them in your pocket. No more holes in your pocket from keys wearing them down. I did make one change to my key silencer - I removed the velcro with a seam ripper and replaced it snaps (button snaps). I used the snaps which you hammer in place; they can be found in the sewing sections of Target, Wal-Mart, etc. The velcro was plenty strong and would last a lifetime, but I do not care for Velcro.

I had the Bianchi Model 8016 – Silent Key Holder but gave it to my brother. I carry too many keys for it. I think it could only take a house and car key. I just went back to keeping my keys in my pocket.

The ones I've seen are neoprene. (What wetsuits are made of)

I'm tempted to grab a $1 koozie and make my own version with the neoprene. Of course I can't sew very well...

They are made of neoprene. It is really nothing more than a cone of neoprene. There are holes so a keyring can be attached and then attached to the key ring is a nylon webbing strap which has velcro on it so that it can be affixed to a belt or belt loop.
