I am looking for a metal flashlight, with the following specs:

For regular batteries (alkaline or NiMh): 2 x AA of 3 x AAA.

Very high light output at first switch mode, at least 200 ANSI lumens.

Several lumen modes are not mandatory.

    Automatic SOS mode.

Sufficiently strong power switch coil to prevent accidentally switching on when carried in my bag or pocket.

Protected from shocks and splash water.

    Lanyard eye.

    Belt clip.

I prefer no pointed tactical bezel, for not looking too aggressive. Or can I remove the bezel?

Check out the Dereelight Javelin. It's lego-able with the C2H and can take extension tubes. Uses P60 drop ins so almost any light you want can be made.

I'd vote for Foursevens Quark Tactical XML if you want to limit your modes to 2 programmed modes or the Pro XML if you want quick access to all modes - QT2A-X or QP2A-X, respectively. Unique things with Quarks.

    - moonlight mode for night adapted eyes, runtimes measured in weeks, least disturbing to others
    - 10 yr warranty with HQ and good CS located in the US
    - legoable, get a 1xAA body for EDC pocket carry, or running a 14500 Li-ion

I find floody XML emitters to be great for general purpose use.

I'd recommend staying away from the 3xAAA format. Usually those lights have poor regulation, meaning the light output will taper off quickly. They also tend to be fairly large in diameter, which I personally consider a draw-back, but YMMV.

The Quark and Fenix 2xAA options are solid recommendations. Also, the Fenix LD22 is right at 200 lumens on high. The LD22 has a different UI, which some love and some hate. I've never tried it myself.

Thanks. Is there any documentation on the web about this problem?

The new FourSevens Quark Pro lights in AA. I gave my other 2xAA flashlights away as gifts, so I bought a new Quark Pro QP2A-X over the summer and I love it. It fits your description very well.

I personally love the UI on the LD22 and would recommend it.

I like the AA format, but I also look for flashlights, that use the same battery format as all my other lights, so I always have batteries available, and don't have to stock multiple sizes of batteries as back ups
