Back right for me 99% of the time
Front right if I'm worried about pick pockets
Back right...all the time!
Back right for me, unless I'm somewhere where pickpockets are common.
Front left or right, down here in Argentina using the back pockets is like asking to get stuff stolen.
ID and coin carrier in left front, charge cards in right front and a much slimmed down wallet with folding money right rear. Less bulk in one spot and less chance of losing one item and being completely SOL!
Front right 90% of the time
Front left for me unless cargo shorts then right cargo pocket.
Trying to minimise back problems
Found that front left pocket works really well for me as I feel it has a higher level of security while traveling and avoids shifting your spine while seated.
Have carried in my back right pocket for as long as i can remember. If going to a crowded event I'll trim down to a business card carrier with just DL/CC/cash and carry in front left pocket.
I'm back right 99% of the time too but I occasionally slip my wallet in the front pocket when I'm worried about pick pockets uttahere:
I'm kind of surprised to see that more people front carry than rear left! I find it much easier to grab my wallet with my left hand and open it with my right. But, I'm also not worried about pick pockets or a thick wallet so back pocket carry makes more sense to me. If I go to a concert I'll sometimes put it in my front pocket, or if I'm wearing gym shorts of course, but that's it.
I've carried my wallet in my front left pocket since I was probably about 15. I don't know why, but when I actually started to have more and more money on me, the more paranoid I got about it getting jacked or even just popping out. At least if someone gets in my front pocket, I'm going to know they're there......hopefully.
Back left for the past 6 or 8 years. Then one day it ended up in my front left, and I havent looked back. A card wallet from saddleback keeps things nice and simple. Never need cash now a days.
Wallet is dear to me. Front right, with my Spyderco and keys. Since I don't keep a whole lot on me, it's not too bulky. I keep my iPhone 4 in the front left pocket, nothing in back pockets.
I primarily carry back left. I was taught right rear but when I was a carpenter I carried tools in my back right. Now right rear is my hankie and various pens in a handmade leather holster. For higher security or when I go for lighter carry, left front. I have too many keys, knives, and lights in my right front.
I bought a front pocket wallet, but couldn't get used to it. So now I use it as a very thin back pocket wallet.
When I first replied to this thread I carried a wallet in my RRP and had for years. I switched recently to a Saddleback CC wallet and it sits in my LFP along with my Vic Pioneer. I hardly notice either of them.
Front right pocket, almost all of the time. Either that or in a bag. I typically don't like things in my pocket all day, usually just a knife and a wallet - Everything else goes in a bag.
This, for similar reasons. It's also why my vehicle keys are separate from my house keys and are clipped to my belt with the house keys in my left front pocket. Haven't worn a duty belt in many, many years, but the placements stuck with me.
