I would like to find a watch face. I have no need for the band as I would like to make my own band with paracord. Does anyone know where I could buy just a watch face that would lend itself pretty easily to me creating my own band? I am preferable to Timex digitals but I am open to suggestions. This is sort of the trial run so I would like to do it fairly inexpensive.

Well, just as an example I typed "watch no band -reserve" into the eBay search engine and came up with close to 2,000. Some still had the band, but most were the watch face alone. You might try there. Let's see what others come up with.

Some of the timex/casios are so cheap even with the band.... 8-15 bux.... just remove the band.

And don't make the mistake of actually just buying a 'watch face' as that's technically only the flat round plate that has 1-12 on it (no hands, no movement, no case, no glass window no nothing).

Like suggested, just buy a watch you like and take the band off.

Just curious...Why the word "reserve" in the search key words? Is this some search engine trick that I wasn't aware of?

What you are looking for is called a watch head, basically a watch without a band. Try searching for ofrei dot com they have a good selection.

I was just trying to avoid all of the watch faces that had a reserve price included, since the OP indicated he wanted a cheaper watch face (or 'head' as we've now learned). Personally, I usually don't bother to bid on things that have a reserve price ... Seems like I never reach the reserve.

Oh ok, thanks. I don't either, which explains why I never heard of "reserve" :)
