We had a high of 31F today and now it is 9F, here about 10 miles north of Syracuse NY.
Now been snowing pretty good for a few hours, and the wind is apparently picking up, Just a few minutes ago I had some of the 30mph(at least!) gusts that the advisory warned about, beating on the house... REALLY didn't expect to get the wind here, usually it has to be extreme before we get the winds in my area...
Just hang on to that weather for a few days until I am out of here ok.
I don't mind it windy, but I got a few dead trees close to the house that I didn't get time to cut out last summer... And our big wind storm last winter drooped one close to the house... Translation; Your on your own; I'll be happy to see this go away as fast as possible!
About to go jump in the pool again.
Already been to the beach today.
I. Hate. You.
Sunny but on the cool side.
Summerside...... about 16 years ago I was working in New Brunswick and we had a day off and went across the bridge to you fine Island, had the best day morning at the beach, afternoon out on a cod charter and a lobster dinner.
Thanks it is 25f now suppose to be down to 3 by morning with a 20 MPH wind and light snow.
I wasn't about to keep the fun all to myself
It tried to snow earlier but sunny and windy now
Well, after dealing with the ice we had all day yesterday and this morning for rush hour, it's supposed to make it up to around 36F today or so with some sun. We had about a quarter to a third of an inch of ice.
After all the -10F (-23C) mornings of the last couple weeks, today's high so fare of 28 (-2C) feels like summer.
27F today but very windy gusts up 20 mph and blowing drifting snow. When I left work today what is supposed to be 2 lanes was only one lane due to drifting snow so I dropped into one of the lower gears and plowed through it with my truck. The guy behind me with his car kept a safe distance behind but just followed me through it. Too much traffic entering the lot to ride the other side of the road.
In a word ... SLICK! Neighborhoods and back streets are like glass. Freezing drizzle and 30°.
Finally hitting the single digits here but nothing in the near future trending into the pluses.
Roads are still entertaining here after the 4" to 5" we got Sat night... not like the pictures I posted in my thread, but still a fair amount of loose snow in places, and still over 1/2" of ice on the roads in most places out of town...Its Fun out.
Aaaanannnnndddd.... Todays forecast was for cloudy, upper 20s to lower 30s and up to 1" of snow tonight, flurries tommorow afternoon and off and on through the week...
Today actually was cloudy, upper 20s, and late afternoon it started snowing... that "up to 1" " will be a lot more than 1" if it keeps up at the rate its coming down now! Last Saturdays snow was soposed to be 1" to 2", and we got 4" at least, and 6" in some places...
I hope they're not that far off the mark on this forecast
One last March blast from Old Man Winter. This is unusual for us here in Texas. Shame it will be gone by tomorrow.
I feel bad telling you guys it's gonna be 72 and sunny in San Diego today... 80s later this week. DRIVE SAFE IN THE SNOW... Stay safe out there guys
