Could be but don't know just yet.

It is my understanding that Jared has sent shills out in the past. I only have heard this via secondary sources.

I am more form follows function person. I really don't mind knives that have things done to their appearance as long is does not affect function at all.

    The shapes bother me.

You received a good deal on the price. I don't have any experience with Quartermaster, but I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
One word of advice. Patience. It's O.K. to wait until tomorrow to buy the knife you just saw that you just can't live without. 99% of the time the knife will still be there tomorrow. You'll never regret waiting 24 hours. Utilize the experience available on this forum and others.
    Now go use those knives.

Me too. What part? There are so many knife ordinances in my area that I'd never have the guts to carry a tactical folder.

Those designs remind of Gil Hibben's product line. I do not care for either. There are far too many unnecessary lines and angles that were seemingly created for no other purpose other than to be creative. There's nothing wrong with that for items that exist to cultivate individual taste and preference. If you like them, that's all that matters.

I lived in Plymouth for 10 years. The cops there suck as far as tactical looking knives go.

I try not to take my Knives out in public. But if I absolutely have to, I go for my least threatening looking knife. Or even my multitool. So Hopefully I won't ever have to deal with police over it.

IMO, everything made by Mantis or QM looks like something an 80's action movie villain would carry.

People have to spend their money as they see fit. I wouldn't ever buy one because I question the F&F, performance, comfort, and secondary value. Buy a Benchmade or Spyderco (especially limited edition) and if you need to they can be dumped for 70-200% of the original price a year later. Plus, they have decades of experience making knives and winning awards.

Same reason I wouldn't buy a loaded Tesla Model S even if I had the money. A Nissan GT-R or Z06 Corvette is the same price (or cheaper) and have lineage.

Even legal knives they have a fit over, especially if they see it down at the waterfront during tourist season... and they have no problem taking your knife and you never getting it back either. I have a family full of LEO's and I honestly believe that you have to pass a special a55hole test to get hired on as a cop in Plymouth. Cops from the surrounding towns (Kingston, Duxbury, Hanover, etc...) don't even like Plymouth cops. I've seen them confiscate SAK's before. Just be careful... or move across the line into Kingston :)

Just a note. Cody is not a shill.

We have had a great many of them and if I went looking I know I could find several but that is not the case here.

This is just a person enthusiastic about a company.

If you ask me, they look not unlike truck-stop blades... Not my cup of tea.

    Also, newbie question: Shill?
