I'm in a similar boat. I'll be a first time owner, trying to decide what direction I want to start off in. Looking for a full sized 9 for range/USPSA and a similar compact or subcom for carry. I'm pretty familiar w the M&P shield n M&P 9 so I may go that route, but the Sig P320 n 320 subcom feel so good in hand... Also considering G34/26(or43) combo. Downside w the M&P and Sig combo is I'm in MA so it'd be impossible to get legal standard size mags for them. P226 and 938 combo would be awesome but $$$.
Isn't MA great??? Problem is the Glocks and Glock mags (preban) in this state are all being sold for the price you could do the 226/938 for. I'm not impressed with the M&P's had two and sold two. The 320 looks interesting, but I have plenty of striker fired stuff. Have you looked into a VP9?
Well now sometimes things are just not planned. Brought this home Wednesday, after stumbling across it for $199.95. It's a Ruger P90TH Special Edition, 45ACP. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
some variant of the 1911 , I would like a rail for flashlight, and nice trigger. just dont like the way my hand sits in a glock. everyone steers me away from it but i keep gravitating towards the 1911
I just got this MP5 clone today. It's made in Turkey. Been wanting one since the SP89 came out back in late 80's/early 90's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No pic yet. I have a Taurus pt92 enroute. It the clone to the Beretta 92fs/M9. Cant wait. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
Bonus time is coming up and still don't have a .45 ACP, so...I rented a Sig P220 & Glock 21. As much as I want to love the Sig, I don't enjoy shooting the DA/SA (and I can base it on enjoyment, practicals are covered by my 9mm Glocks). Tempted to get a Glock 21, but it's pros and cons are the same...it's another Glock that's familiar, just in .45. I shot and enjoyed my father-in-law's Sig 1911, but I'm hesitant about such a divergence from the Glock manual of arms. Would PROBABLY be a range/fun gun, but I hate to be hesitant about putting it on my nightstand if I end up shooting it better. Decisions, decisions...
I have 4 1911'a and a Glock 41. I prefer 1911's for 95% of what I'd use a .45 for. That said, the 1911's have two differences than the glock that are worth a mention, capacity (yes, I have several 10 round mags for them) and a safety. I have forgotten it a few time while speed shooting. I'm SO used to guns with no safety's, I do forget.
There is NO comparison... 1911's have a better trigger even stock. I have extensively modded my G17 (and my G41 to a lessor point), but left the stock trigger bar (IDPA rules) and while it's much better, its not in the same league. My VP9 even has a better stock trigger over my modified glocks.
Taurus pt 92 af. Purchased a week ago . Need to shoot at the range. Its a 1988 model. Sure doesnt show its age. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
My next one (once I finally get my Texas dl) is going to be a Glock 29. I want a more carry able 10mm, and can't beat the blue label prices Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
I'll be picking up a Beretta Nano tomorrow to add to my CCW rotation. I'll add pics as soon as I can . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm planning on my next one being a CZ SP-01, IF I can find one. They seem to not be the easiest to find in stock. Guess I'll keep looking.
I have a Springfield Milspec 1911 that I get to pick up in 3 hours (CA 10-day wait time...) - already have 200 rounds of .45 packed to break it in!
Just picked a Gen 3 Glock 17 in a trade. Next purchase will be my carry. I'm fluffy so I am going the pocket carry route. Body guard or LCPII, haven't decided yet.
