The one and only new castle.
At the moment? Downtown Brown. I'm on a dark ale spree.
I like to keep it local with Widmer Hefeweizen or Henry Weinhards Blue Boar.
Coopers Sparkling Ale. 5.8% alc/vol and includes a nice yeasty sludge at the bottom of every bottle. Waaaay too yummy!
I also home brew ... Hundreds and hundreds of stubbies.
You store your home-brew in Grolsch bottles? BLASPHEMY!!!
Replace the seal and he's good. What's not to like about that? I think the Grolsch bottle should feel honored to be saved for such a noble purpose!
And that was EXACTLY my reasoning!
The flip top Grolsch bottle is is a thing of beauty, and should be held in high regard by ALL beer drinkers.
Not only is it a magnificently beautiful green bottle, but it also has the most simple and elegant capping system I've ever seen.
I mostly buy Grolsch for those reasons...but the Grolsch beer is also magnificent.
It's a win win formula
Be proud of your countries spectacular liquid produce!
And stick a feather in your cap, accept the compliments, and change you view on your "Blasphemy" statement.
Grolsch rocks! O0
Nah man, i was just kidding. I think home-brewing is really cool, i couldn't brew my own beer if my life depended on it LOL
And indeed, Grolsch is a great beer and the bottles really rock! But i have to admit i haven't really had all that much since i moved a couple years ago.... I used to live 15 miles from the old Grolsch brewery but i now live across the Heineken factory so drinking Grolsch could get me into trouble
I mean, what better view from your living-room windows is there for a beer lover;
I used Grolsch Bottles for years but not anymore. I keg my beer now. Bottle cleaning was the only part of the homebrewing process I did not enjoy, now its a thing of the past for me.
Oh I'm loving everything in that picture!
Thanks sir, that is some of my favorite Stuff.
Yeah I'm never excited about the bottle cleaning/sterilizing part.
I've been considering a keg setup like yours
