I voted for Victorinox because I have had them since I was a child and the quality has always fascinated me. However, I currently also have a Spyderco Meerkat that has become my constant companion and also a Kershaw that I have become very fond of.
Me thinks I'm doomed to never be able to decide... Benchmade, Spyderco, Leatherman, KaBar, & Boker are all great brands.
I'm keeping this to folding knives or my list would be different- Chris Reeves Spyderco Benchmade Victorinox Microtech in that order
I don't have a lot of experience w/ folders, but for production fixed blades- Fallkniven and Bark River have served me very well- I could have voted custom as well- as there are many quality builders out there as well- I own(ed) knives from JK Handmade Knives, Landi Knives, Koster Knives, Gossman Knives- all very quality (and affordable for custom) knives
My fav is Emerson. Strong, sharp, opening wave, excelent scales....... the only problem is expensive.
this one is kinda hard for me. i voted spyderco but i would say benchmade and spyderco are tied for me. at the moment i currently own more spyderco folders.
Spyderco all the way. I have never found a manufacturer that can separate me from my wallet like that!!
I voted Spyderco... However, Cold Steel, Kershaw, and Victorinox aren't far behind. After I get my first Benchmade someday, it will probably join the list as well.
I personally like the simplicity and effectiveness of spyderco's and for the price point you can't beat it
