Wide bevel on that Sebenz.. er... 'Meru'. What did you reprofile that to?

20 degrees. The bevel was wide when I got it, the angle... 30 and some? It is a cheapo, less then 7 (seven) bucks and I played with it a bit ;)

I have to say that it is sharp like hell now and holds the edge surprisingly well. For the price point, that is. I have to strop it from time to time, that is about it. Cutting my Serano with it, works like a charm.

Meru is a trademark of several European outdoor shops. They started it as a cooperation. In Germany you will mostly see it in Globetrotter shops.

^It's a pocket scalpel!^ So , My non- locking suggestions are Higonokami it has great steel and a stupid sharp zero edge. Seriously everyone should try one of these out! Spyderco UKPK, GEC # 15 AKA Boy's knife, Case Sodbuster Jr. with the CV steel and Svord mini Peasant. Now a locker that I forgot to mention Sanremmu(spelling?) 710 is a decent cheap frame lock. Kershaw chill and the Ontario RAT 2. Good luck on your quest 2guns.
Also, let us not forget the very versatile small pocket kiridashi.

You will love it alot. Weighs next to nothing and performs better than you would expect from something that weighs so little.

For the money, I think the mini Grip is a better buy than the Native.

Agreed... I personally would take a mini grip first...
