In your opinion, what's the best and baddest G Shock out right now? I think it used to be the Raysman but now it's the RiseMan. What do you think)

The best G-Shock has always been the 5600 series, nowadays in solar/atomic form.

Everything else is just bigger and flashier, not more functional.

    Probably that .... Pathfinder contraption.

Toughest G-Shock I have ever owned was the MUDMAN!

Word to the wise though, buy the solar version!

Owner of a 'classic' 5600E... Actually my second, gave away the 1st (stupid me).

When this one dies, it's the solar/atomic 5600 for me (Ijust like the looks).

+1 on the solar/atomic 5600. have four G's right now, and it's the only one i could never see getting rid of. it's got everything i'll ever need. all else is vanity.

+1 on the 5600E, I have the tough solar version and it's great.
The Mudman and and Riseman are tempting, but their features are just unnecessary, I would never count on a barometer in my watch.

I completely agree, but I think most people would say the FrogMan line is the king though.

currently deciding between the Final and Atomic Frogman, but i think the size and (typically) unneeded dive logs keep it from being "the king" of the line.

if it wasn't for the price gouging on the solar/atomic -screwback- 5600's i'd have voted for them.

I haven't worn a watch in nearly a decade, but the rationale displayed in the "why EDC a watch?" thread is making me consider buying a watch, probably a G Shock. I've currently got my eye on the GW 3000 series because as great as the 5600 seems, I would never own a digital watch.

Check out the G1200 as well. Same watch, cheaper 'cause no solar or tough movement. (Tough Movement sounds really cool but it's really just auto correction of the analog every hour)

Atomic, tough solar, classic 5600 design, auto light (very cool), black display, resin armband and the only secondary function I ever really need in a digital watch: world time.
