Trying to lose weight before the holidays, so trying to hit the gym almost every day if if possible. So I have a few sneakers in the rotation. My Adidas Superstars are getting all beat up because I used to use just one pair, because I'm not really much of a sneaker guy. So I decided to buy a few pairs to establish a rotation so they don't get all worn out. Today's gym selection are my Adidas Crazy 1 ADV Sock. Sock shoes are very breathable, flexible, and comfortable.
Next on the gym rotation are my Adidas Yeezy 500s. They don't have Boost, just regular Adiprene +, but still comfortable.
Well, it's cold and starting to snow, so I thought I would break out my UGGs (Yes, they do make UGGs for men). Not many more boots more comfy and warm than UGGs when the weather is cold. These are my Boston models. I haven't cleaned the mud off from last winter. lol
danners... don't break them out much anymore; thick stiff lugs make driving stick a bit more interesting.
Sounds like you are in the northern area of NY like Plattsburgh with those numbers tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The wound care clinic at the hospital fixed up a 'special' shoe for one foot, where a nurse cut padded foam sections to build up a bed to keep pressure off the front of my foot, that has a diabetic foot ulcer. They also put compression socks/stockings on my swollen legs/feet (I have stage 4 kidney disease).
@Stormdrane So sorry to hear this. My Dad had diabetic foot issues as well. Best of luck and good vibes going your way.
Usually one of those: Once they are broken in, they are frigging comfy. And the beath well, as oonly leather can.
I’m on the lookout for some new leather boots/shoes. My old pair of “every day” shoes went in the trash a few weeks ago, totally worn out. Around the same time had an x-ray of my feets related to some pain issues and found out that I have some exessive wear and tear on the bones and joints in there. I’m having special soles made to mitigate some of the pain, but that raises the question; what shoes to have them made for. I’m thinking that leather boots will be the most generic with regards to appropriate use cases and the norwegian climate. Hence it’s probably the best host for these soles as to give me the maximal “time on feet”. And it doesn’t hurt that they probably age well and last a long time either. I prefer rugged, work styled boots. Nothing fancy. To make things interesting, I need them fast and I don’t believe the selection in norwegian stores is anything to get excited over.
Wouldn't special removable orthotics as opposed to soles for a specific shoe be better? That way they can be inserted into which even shoe you choose to wear and not be limited to the one shoe. I can't recommend any particular shoe or boot but will suggest an ankle high leather boot which can be dressed up or down and be waterproofed. I can only imagine what Norwegian winters are like.
I have had issues finding comfortable boots my entire adult life. I’ve spent a pile of money and tried almost every brand/style out there and nothing has really stood out as significantly better than anything else. With that said, I’ve settled with these options and using a decent orthotic they’ve been good enough.
