I wear this around the neck everyday.
Steel Flame Large Sancte Michael Pendant & Steel Flame Talon Chain
nothing, unless i am on a job that requires that credentials hang from one's neck.
I used to carry a small silver berimbau on a thin silver chain, but found out that it got in the way to much. These days, I wear a scarf in winter, the rest of the year, I don't like to have anything dangling from my neck.
That reminds me that i do sometimes need to carry a press pass in that way.

Spyderco Salt 1 in custom Kydex. Does it look like it was my EDC for a long time? This thing has been through everything with me. Then I found this site and started rotating others through.
Yes, its sun faded. Wore it right front pocket for the first two years I owned it. I worked outside all day everyday at the time and Utah summers will fade almost anything.
Currently nothing at all. Sometimes a Littman stethoscope.
Learned quick that some people tends to grab a hold necklaces, chains, stethoscope, etc. when it is time to come down from a high via Narcan.

What's around your neck?
A 14k gold chain & crucifix that I've worn for the last 25 years or so.
I used to wear a small neck knife on a leather thong, but eventually it got irritating, especially in the summer. These days, pretty much nothing.
Spyderco bug, been around my neck for a year.
NiteCore EZAA R2 on gutted paracord for almost 2 years.
Looking for something with a lower low right now.
I don't wear anything around my neck, but if I did, I would copy your cord/ball chain necklace. Very nice use of two dissimilar materials. Looks comfortable and efficient.
I was thinking the same thing, soap. Ace, did you insert the balls into the cord and then melt it shut, or just thread a whole length through the cord?
I've read somewhere that you replace the strings inside the cord with the ball chain. As a result you've got a ball chain with cord skin.
Use one or more of the white threads on the inside to pull the chain thru the gutted cord, you can then if you want melt the ends to the chain to keep it in place!
It is very comfortable and works great, the whole setup is more for aesthetics than utility. I melted the ends so the cord dose not move, I think it looks nicer that way. The ball chain necklace makes it easy to take on and off but I mainly did it as a "safety" so if it get caught on something it will break away instead of hanging me out to dry.
Use an old stop watch string lanyard to carry a mini led light from inova and a gi issue pea whistle and a work id clipped to the left side at the collar for work. Tried a juice cs4 but way too heavy without a wide lanyard. Neck knife at work would have the ******* screaming and running for dear life, wearing it under the clothes would violate the concealed weapon work rule as well.
