Here's the situation guys. Got a call from a friend yesterday and he picked me up for a quick cup of coffee. I just had athletic shorts on with no pockets and a T-shirt. What would you grab for a bare minimum carry considering the situation?
I grabbed my Col Littelton Wallet (ID cash and a few cards) my Orbitkey (front door key) and had to attatch the LM Squirt to it:). The wallet got hand held and the Orbitkey was tucked in band of shorts with the Squirt dangling.

I think I would have grabbed everything you did plus my cell phone. If it were more than just going for a cup of coffee, then I would have taken the time to change clothes and maybe grab a few more things if I felt I needed it.

Like @nolaradio mentioned, I'd have grabbed my cell phone and maybe tuck a small folder into the waistband. Assuming I didn't have time to change. Oh, and I'd have taken my Oakleys. Never leave home without them.

I don't own athletic shorts without pockets. It's a prerequisite when I buy. In any event, I'd grab my Vanquest Husky organizer which is always loaded up and my phone. I wear a belly band under athletic shorts and pants so I'd have my firearm as well.

I would have thrown on my normal cargo shorts and grabbed my usual:

    Keys
    Phone
    Wallet
    Knife
    Light
    Glock

I would never leave my house in gym shorts. I change at the gym.

Well, I would never leave my house without pockets or possibly a bag of some sort. However, for an absolute minimal carry, I would have my phone (small flip-phone) in a neoprene case with money and my driver's license in it. I would remove my house key and or car key from my normal keychain and pair that with my Spyderco ladybug on a Tec P-7 dangler. I might have my Fenix E05 attached to that as well. The only time I get that minimalistic though is when I'm going to the gym.

Now because I'm curious, where in the USA can you leave home wearing shorts and a t-shirt in January? Where I'm at we had one really crazy warm day a week or so ago, but mostly I'd freeze to death wearing that.

I hardly leave my bedroom without proper pants on, so I can't really relate, but it sounds like a pretty good minimalist set up. I personally always like having a dedicated folder, so I would add that (I used to clip a Spyderco stretch inside the waistband of gym shorts when training for a 5k a few years ago).

Where? Louisiana I was in shorts and a t-shirt this past Sunday, high was 75°F.
High was 78°F yesterday. If work would let me wear shorts, I would have yesterday.
Forecast high for today is 75°F. Historic averages are 61/40°F. Two weeks ago we were in the low 20's.

Yeah... weather's been funny lately... a little while ago we had highs in the 60s, now we're back to the 40s. When the last snowstorm came through, highs were in the 20s and lows around 0 degrees F. And yes, I do know some crazy folk that wander around in shorts in cold weather, but if the weather suddenly turned even colder... they would have a problem.

I'd grab my "tactical man purse" which would have everything in it.

Hey Water-Rat, I live in beautiful, sunny NE FLA......it was in the low 80's today and a perfect day for a passion of mine, fly fishing for Reds in the back country:

Glock 43 held by a trex-arms side car, spyderco domino, iPhone, keys, wallet.
The 43 with that holster works..even in a pair of gym shorts

I never leave the house without pockets in shorts or shirt. But if I did for some reason, I would have wallet in hand, phone on waistband with clip holder, keys on dangler and gun in PistolWear Trump Card.
