A kind of real-life "Matrix", right ? I guess that from at least a first approximation you are right.Just like in the opening of the documentary series "A Haunting" : "between the world we see and the things we fear there is a world of possibilities".
As this modern world will quote movies, I will clam my knowledge from the study of ancient history, The 'Real World' actuality exists without the Takes,Cuts, and Edits of Movies that simplify the meaning of existence for a Human observer of the 'Real fantasy' . Because of this, you, being in another part of the world other than the USA makes it more of a chance that you will experience the phenomenon more closely than we in the states . This planet is only one of many that will also suffer trials that will decide the fate of this universe . BE WELL .. GH
Sounds like a good plot line for a sci-fi action movie! First thing I'd do is pick up my camera and start taking pics of the overhead alien ships. Then I'd turn to my wife and complain that I needed to buy a longer lens.
Well, I'd hope they were nothing like the Posleen of John Ringo's novels -- reptilian centaurs that breed like rabbits and were genetically engineered as warriors. The books are kind of fun, and a different take on the alien invasion scenario. Pacifist aliens show up to recruit the human race as mercenaries. The Posleen are headed this way, and the aliens offer technology in exchange for us fighting to protect them as well as ourselves. You can read several of the Posleen series for free, online. The link is on John's Wikipedia page, at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ringo Other interesting looks at alien "invasion" include the film District 9, which I absolutely loved, and Robert A. Heinlein's classic novel, The Puppet Masters. Harry Turtledove wrote a series of books in which the invasion occurs during WWII. The invaders show up expecting what their probe had shown: humans with swords and armor. When the first wave of colonists show up several hundred years later, they find that humans developed faster than expected. Maybe we should stock up on cat food! (District 9 reference) Regards, Dirty Bob
If they bleed, we can kill them -- Dutch (paraphrased) I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords -- Kent Brockman
Remember the classic Twilight Zone episode. The aliens' favorite book was called, "To Serve Man." Last scene: as people were eagerly shuffling into the ships, a human translator runs up and yells, "No! Don't go! The book--To Serve Man--it's a cookbook!"
Find their weakness and destroy them. If their women are sexy I'll take some. To the OP if their first action is hostile then I would assume their ultimate goal is to eliminate us all or enslave us, either way kill them all and watch them fall.
It couldn't be much worse that the aliens we deal with now... Not our friends from the south. Our current politicians... All Of Em!
I'd buy a tank limo (some supplies too), & travel the world... Getting cut off in traffic would have a whole new meaning
dont they all ready have aliens in arizona? aint they shipping them back? personly i will dial 1911 and wait for the tone
See what approach the cockroaches had regarding the subject and follow their lead. They are survivors.
It all depends on what kind of aliens. I image there are different plans for E.T., Independence Day aliens, Alf, and Coneheads.
