What watch do you want Santa to bring for Christmas? I want either a Sinn U1 or a Ball Night Train. What about you guys?

I know that no one will be buying me any watches...let alone these watches. But, if I could get a watch as a gift I'd choose a Yantar Submariner 24, or a Ventura V-Matic Ego Chrono or Ventura V-Matic Ego Pi.

I'd like a Rolex Submariner.....but I know Santa's not going to buy me one.
I really like my Omega Seamaster, so I'll make due with it.

Omegas and Rolexs are always nice. I think what I would really like would be a Marathon SAR or GSAR though. Seems like they are nothing short of bullet proof.

Not quite Christmas, but my dad wants to get me a watch for my graduation from Uni at the end of the year.
Not sure if I should go for one that I want ((G)SAR watch), or a more timeless/traditional one (Omega/Tag/Seiko?/Citizen?/others).

    WOW!!

I didn't know there were Seiko's worth that much cake!!?? Very purdy ;D

I would recomend the T-SAR...probably more accurate than the G-SAR and a bit less money too ;)
What UNI are you gradding from?

Since I will not be traveling back to my home state this Christmas, I would like to treat myself to a Marathon T-SAR. I am not a watch afficionado, but this one has captured my attention from a few folks discussing it on this forum. :buckteeth:

I've been wearing a Luminox Ti Model 3600 since '01 and it is still on the original battery. It is so lightweight that sometimes I hardly notice that I am wearing it.

The T-SAR seems to be a bit of a brute. Anyone know how much it weighs with the optional stainless steel bracelet?

    TIA

My T-SAR weighs in at 3.6OZ (102g) with the Maratac 1pc Zulu band....only have that and the Marathon rubber band it came with....

To me it's no more of a brute than my Seiko's....I highly recommend it!

I'd like something in a vintage Elgin or Illinois watch. I'm pretty sure Santa is bringing me a GPS so I'll ask again next year.

I did want an automatic watch though.
Still have some time to look for it.

I'm graduating from Engineering at the University of Calgary.

My TSAR with the steel bracelet weighs in at a hefty 5.5 oz. or 156 grams.

It sure does. Some people don't like that much weight on their wrist, but I don't mind at all. The heft is kind of reassuring. Makes you feel that your watch can take whatever abuse you can dish out. :)
