I learned a better way to tie shoe laces by reading this page at Ians Shoelace Site.

I walk or bicycle a few miles daily and my boot laces often became untied. The web page showed me I was using a Granny Knot and showed me a better technique instead. Now my laces remain tied the entire day.

    Memorization!

I read Memory Power by Scott Hagwood, and now I can take a shuffled deck of cards, look at each one once, put them down, and recite the deck back to you with number and suit.
Not only that, but I can tell you the position of each card- for example "Mike, what was card 12?" "Three of Clubs" "Card 40?" "Ace of Diamonds", and so on.

It takes me about twenty minutes to memorize a deck; Hagwood says it takes him about a minute and a half!

I wish there was a way to demonstrate, but the online medium makes verification pretty tricky

Mike, your memory is improving while mine is deteriorating. :)

    laplace transforms

Oh, they are so much easier than doing all the math out by hand.
