I generally get the signal even to this day around 12:04 am; sometimes as late as 2:04 am.

I have two G-shock that use this feature. I've been keeping them on a dresser top in the master bedroom -- seem to get a signal there easily.

But that surface is getting sorta crowded. Nice thing about the G-shocks is that we do NOT have to rely on the automated signal. Easy enough with one press of a side button to initiate the synch any time of day. Only takes a couple of minutes. So I'm moving these two watches into the same drawer where my other watches reside when not being worn. It will be trivially easy when they come up in rotation to do a time synch. (This has the extra advantage of keeping them from getting dusty in between their respective turns in rotation!)

I have only ever tried to manually sync an MB6 watch twice and could not get them to sync at all that way. It was during daylight hours both times though. Mine are kept in a watch case on my dresser in my room as well and they mostly always sync. I have three with MB6 and they like yours mostly sync at 12:04 sometime later but that seems to be the norm. Very rare for one of them not to sync but I don't sweat it too much if they don't they are Casio accurate anyway.

FYI. When I do the manual sync it is absolutely daylight hours. I did have to be selective of where in the house I do it. Turns out sitting on the bed in the master bedroom -- just a couple feet away from the dresser -- is the ideal spot. Who woulda thunk it? {'face plant'}! ;)

    Surprise surprise!

I got curious and checked the two G-shock that I have stored in a drawer -- the two that synch to the atomic clock. I was amazed to discover that even in the drawer, at least in that particular drawer in that room, they both had synched up!

Has anyone else found their watches will synch even stored in a drawer?

@Moshe ben David I recently bought a new Protrek model with MB6. When I got it in the mail from Japan and took it out of the box I checked to see when it had last synced. I received it on 9-25 and it had last synced on 09-20. I left it on my south west facing window seal the first night and it synced. Since then I have left it in the watch case on my dresser and it as of yet has not failed to sync. This is my 5th Casio atomic. I really like them. They all are very reliable when it comes to syncing.

Even weirder is my GW 5000 will sync in my watch box on top of my dresser. It will not, however, sync sitting on top of the watch box.

Here’s the new ProTrek I got recently. I really like it. Very nice watch with a lot of capability. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Very cool. I think this just went on my list for if/when some current house & medical bills finally are gone! ;)
