My pens tend to rotate but I always have a mechanical pencil on me Rotring Rapid Pro 0.5mm. I used to be a draftsmen before the days of CAD and I just can't let go of my love for a good mechanical pencil. I also use it a lot to write notes in my notebook because you can easily erase a mistake or if you are making a sketch of something on site it can easily be changed and modified.

At the moment I am using a Prometheus Writes aluminium and Cogent titanium "the one" pen.

IMO, the Cogent is far superior

I use the same pen at work as I do everywhere else, my lil Zebra SL-F1 that stays clipped to my front right pocket, snuggled up to my Gerber mini tanto folding knife

Pilot G2 07 Black, occasionally Blue.

I keep a Zebra F-701 in my shirt for quick writing or whatever the case might be in which a steel pen would be handy.

Out of curiosity, can you offer a review/comparison between the two?

I've just started carrying a Lamy Tri-pen at work, the pencil comes in handy for marking up and making quick notes on the side of instruments...

I always carry my Tactile Turn Shaker (alu) so that's what I use, with Schmidt 9000M easyflow blue. It's mainly used for note taking in meetings.

Am currently looking for a secondary pen with a different feeling refill to complement it. Eyeing the Everyman Grafton right now.

Thankfully I never got into pens and that's good. I don't have enough money to support my other habits.

Pilot G2 in black with .7mm is the norm. Once you go gel, you can never go back....

I work in a funeral home, so I tend to use one of our branded logo pens, but I carry my space pen with me for those moments when I need to do some vertical writing.

I found that our office supply person has a secret stash of pilot g2 .5 refills, so I modded some cheap clicky pens to use them. I also keep something on my person with a Schmidt 888 in it at all times, but I try to use the work supplied modded g2 pens while I am there.

General use at desk and pilot bag: Lamy Swift, graphite or imperial blue finish: excellent techie pens which have an architect feel with interlock pocket clip that only emerges to be clipped to a pocket with the nib retracted.

Important stuff and lucky pen: Waterman Perspective pens in blue and black. A classy pen with chrome rather than bling trim. Parallel sides for an "engineered" look different from the typical pen profile.

Informal scribble meetings and discussions: Pilot G2 0.7mm: Easy flow and pretty comfortable to use. The ink doesnt last long though...
