For 9 years, this was my only EDC, paired with a Micra for scissors and other supplementary small tools. A few years ago, I retired it after updating with newer models, but today, for no particular reason, I took it out of hibernation for the day. In many ways, the newer Leathermen are better, more convenient in use, but I have history with this one. In addition to daily odds and ends, it got me out of several jams, once involving self defense (it never came to blows, but just in case, I was ready.) We sort of bonded, but the Charge OH feature and accessory options won me over. So for today, it is on my hip even now, but the cutting board and tortilla are long gone ;) .

@Colt Seavers , yes , I made the holder - in fact it's my second successful try with kydex, I'm pretty proud how it turned out.
As for the design, I drew inspiration from kydex works seen on the web.
It allows the PPP to dangle within my pocket instead of sitting on the bottom and prevents it from getting lost in case of falling out.

With a Zebra F701. Did you do the mod to carry the Fisher Space Pen refill? Works perfectly. I have a 402 to swap out the SS clicky, but haven't yet done that yet.

Any problems w/ TSA over the Tread?

I really wish that they would set up:

    - automated kiosk for mailing items to oneself
    - option to just drop your item into a bucket of similar items, for which you get a receipt which allows you to pull from any matching bucket (with a record-keeping system which only allows one one such receipt at a time for a given time period, and doubles the length of time before getting a new receipt w/ each such issue)

Nope, no problems at all. US border, Canada, Europe and Brasil. What I do is before I go to x-ray I put everything on the external pocket of my back-pack (Maxpedition Gridflux) with the watch, Tread, cellphone, everything. They never asked a single question. As I do not chek-in bags I do not carry knifes or MT with knifes. The Leatherman Style PS no problems at all as well. Even my zip ties never asked about it.

Regarding your sugestions what you can do is carry an envelope with your address and arrive a little bit earlier. So if they start to give you a hard time just go back and send it by mail to yourself. Then go to X-ray again without the item. For now that's the best option I have.

    Cheers.

I can't imagine carrying anything else. I'm never without a bag, so its weight and size is no hardship for me.

Leatherman skeletool, love the fact it has a pocket clip. It even replaced my Kershaw leek as a main blade.
