Most days the EOD MUT. But everyday a leatherman of some fashion
Skeletool CX and Classic.
Looking good. Could this be a Bear and Son item made for Craftsman?
Yes I believe it is. I had been trying to find an older one without the weird lock release tabs. Got lucky! This is a really nice tool.
Nice new mudman. I like this slightly over-sized version.
I really love the leatherman rebar.however, could anyone suggest a leatherman which does not require the pliers to opened in order to get to the tools?
Wave, charge, skeletool, sidekick, and probably more of the bigger ones.
Those do have the blades and file/saw/scissors etc. on the outside, but drivers and other small tools still require you to unfold the tool. I'd suggest looking at the Victorinox Spirit/Swisstool for accessible tools, if Leatherman isn't a strict requirement.
Thanks for that. I have a Gerber flik which has all the tools on the outside, however it's a bit flimsy for some of the harder tasks
Pretty sure this is an early production run of the Gerber Suspension (no name on it anywhere)...but I can't seem to find any pictures of a similar one to mine...
Pic of the Suspension I see all over the web
Depends on my day. Work bag has my SOG Powerlock with bits, day off EDC bag has Gerber M600, first aid kit in car has Skeletool, tackle box has SOG Blacktip, Bug out bag in my truck has a Rebar in it. At any time I have access to at least 3 MT's...

Thanks for this. I'm looking for a disposable, read often lost or borrowed, multitool.
Question re: spring. Is the spring needed? Can it be removed without affecting the tool?
