Correct, from a US perspective, but that's not all there is to it. Drop / Massdrop have some of the very best shipping rates for international customers. In addition to that, they consistently don't list shipping value on the packing slip. In Norway we have a limit at NOK 350, or approx. USD 40, including shipping (if listed) before we have to pay domestic VAT and processing fees. Drop.com is one of very few US "stores" where I can buy a single low cost item without shipping, VAT and processing fees killing off the whole deal. Unfortunately international shipping cost varies a lot from product to product and not all products are shipped abroad.
Currently carrying a Victorinox one handed Trailmaster and a Gerber Truss. Upgraded from the Gerber Suspension to the Truss and am loving it. It has a square Philips driver which can take a square to hex adapter and then standard hex bits. All the tools are also just that bit longer and it seems to make more difference than the difference in measurement would seem to suggest. I was going to upgrade from the Suspension to a Free P4 but the silly prices over in the UK made me look elsewhere and I’m glad I did. I carry both in pocket for EDC but when hiking I can put the Truss in my pack and the Trailmaster is a nice lightweight hiking tool. Great length saw for dealing with overgrown bridleways and personally I like serrated blades.
I used to carry my slim Leatherman Skeletool but after trying to remove an old faucet stem, the pliers head broke. I'm not a fan of carrying bulky multi-tools so I decided to replaced it with a similar design as the Skeletool but with bigger strong pliers and extra tools, so I ended up with the Signal.
I carry my skeletool cx everyday.. and if I need a bigger one I always have my wave in my edc bag close by. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My usual edc bag has a LM Blast (my first MT of this genre!); I have a ring dedicated to pocket tools on a Pangea Pickpocket in my jeans daily (I'm retired, so these are my edc pants!) on which resides a LM Squirt PS4. The console in the car has a LM Rev; and the tool bag in the trunk has a LM ST300. And my pipe gear pouch includes a LM PS. Do I need all of them - meaning do they get regular use? Not really. The ones in the car get occasional use. The one in the edc bag once in a blue moon. The one in the pipe pouch usually helps yank out a pipe cleaner when stuck. Probably the little Squirt on the tool ring gets used the most! But both I and Prof Murphy know that that one time when I don't have them I'll need them! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Lost my LM Squirt. So I put the good old Sebertool M3 in my watch pocket to have some decent small pliers. LM Blast sits in backpack as usual. Squirt will soon be replaced by a Gerber Dime I found on Amazon for 10 euros. No way I pay 40 euros for another Squirt. It has a nicer file and a longer phillips than the Dime but this is not worth the 30 euro price difference. My NIB LM Blast cost me 30 bucks on ebay. The squirt is ridiculously overpriced here in europe.
