I'm looking for Christmas gifts...SolarForce Z2 on its way to compare with a Fenix E12... most likely choice though, is a Coleman Micro Packer 3AA LED lantern... seems very well built for the price point... complaints were no diffuser... the translucent cup works well
The first one quit lighting after about 2 months. I could tell it was on because it would get warm and drain the battery, but no light. So I sent it in and they sent a new one. The new one's clip was so loose as to be unuseable so I took it off and it was fine that way. Then, again after about 2 months, same thing. No light. Fool me twice, and all that. So I'm gonna try out the Thrunite which seems to make decent stuff. I'd rather have the Nichia 219 but I'd rather it work too.
Dang, that sucks. Thankfully none of my L10Cs or L11Cs have done that. Hope the Thrunite works out better for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maelstrom Regen MMR-X en route! I will probably also get a Nitecore Tube for my keys when the batteries on my Photon Freedom run out.
Just got word that my Maratac AAA Cu from massdrop has arrived into the country... just hope it doesn't get stuck in customs for weeks...
Yup. I think I like the numbers on the Thrunite better though. It's a little bigger, but it has a higher high at the same runtime, and I think I'm going to like the slightly-higher firefly mode. I also think I'm going to prefer having 3 total modes instead of 4. The L3 can be had with 3 modes but you give up the firefly instead of one of the middle modes, for some reason. I wish I could get the Thrunite in a higher-CRI emitter, but I'll take what I can get if the light works for more than 2 months and the clip isn't useless. I looked around at single-AA lights and this one was the best balance of cost and specs(many didn't have a <1 lumen mode at all, and that's a dealbreaker for someone who uses that a LOT).
I've Got a pair of single AAA Thrunite light coming in soon. Its the small Al one mode 120 lumen model, burns a battery in 45 minutes! Ill be needing a fresh pack in my kit I suppose. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I have a T10T in neutral and it's got a good tint and the clip is very good. For the price you pay it's a good purchase plus I've seen a lot of videos of people abusing it and it keep ticking that why I bought it as I also had a L10C that pooped with almost no usage after a few months.
