They are pretty heavy. I really have started liking the side-by-side format. The UC 15 is a fun light but it is a bit complicated and fussy. It really likes fully charged 10440s or acts a bit weird. Also keep the tail tailcap tight but not too tight. Can also run primaries.

    Great pictures!

I was a bit bummed to learn it takes button top 10440, of course all I have are flat top. I suppose solder is an option, but I could use fresh cells anyway at this point.

For me I think it's a tad too big for my keychain and I'm a bit weary of the tail cap becoming unscrewed. Thankfully it does come with a pocket clip.

I believe this makes for my first side by side light as well

Solder? Google... "magnetic battery spacer." Cleaner... much less grief.

I have gotten a bit fussy about the color temperature of my lights so I decided to have one built to my specs (or close). I recently bought a Thrunite Ti and loved the host but not the electronics. I decided to send it off to Vinh at SkyLumens for a complete modification.
It should be ready this week and I am anxious to see how it turned out.
I like warmer color temperatures so I went with a VN2 driver and High CRI SST20 3000K on copper. The VN2 is Vinh’s fully programmable driver.
It will initially be set it to 6 modes varying between 1-3 and about 500 lumens on a 10440 IMR battery.
    Fingers crossed.....

Years back I picked up a light from Vinh after becoming curious of his work. I opted for a small 10440 twisty just for kicks and it's a pretty solid light.

I don't have the spec card in front of me but it's something like 700 lumens, frosted lens, nichia emitter I believe. Lots of mode groups to program as well.

Puts out an amazing amount of light for such a small host. Although even being copper, it's just so small and gets incredibly hot after longer usage.

Great work for sure, nice beam and beautiful tint but if I had to do it again I probably would have went with the clicky switch ToolVN. It's a bit cumbersome programming mode sets and using multiple modes with the twist interface. For the most part I just set it to two modes - turbo and moonlight.

It's nice to have like 7 brightness modes and 3 strobes in a group but not really practical in use for me. [IMG]

Vinh does great work and really fills a niche in the custom flashlight world. For what he offers, his prices are very reasonable.

I've bought several lights from him all with custom emitter choices, some with his UI and one a custom job of one of my old lights. I had him do an emitter swap from single XML to triple SST-20 4000k (pic). I think you will be happy with his work and if there are issues, he is willing to work with you to fix it. Great guy to deal with. [IMG]

I can sorta relate to how you feel about mode settings. But for me its clicky switches. I never seem to 'click' with just the right timing nor pressure. I've one twisty. that has 4 modes; love it.

To each his own as long as it works!

Just bought another light from Vinh at SkyLumens. Been hunting for one of these for a while. It's a Sunwayman V10R Ti+ with a 219b 4500K and AA adapter. These are rare enough but with the matching adapter I had to jump on it. Should be here later this week.

Got it. It looks almost like NOS. Came with the box (tin) and all the accessories including AA extender, extra (rubber) clicky, belt pouch and clip.
Really getting hooked on titanium. Artwork. Very happy.

My incoming have arrived. Really gotta stop buying Peaks. The Logan 17500 is really a handful of stainless steel. Takes most battery sizes with adapters.

It’s finally en route, should have it next week. Is it TOO small?

It does look like a bit of a novelty until you turn it on. While not really noticeable, it has a bit more output than the TIP.

I’ve read good things about it’s performance. A little worried it’s so small that it’s awkward to operate.

It is a bit awkward as you have a roughly 2 second delay at turn on. However, that coupled with the daylight mode (I think it's called) minimizes running the battery down with pocket turn on.
I have never had that happen. Not sure if it ever turned on in pocket.
I think the TIP is a bit more user friendly but the TINI is just so dad gum cool.

I’m looking forward to carrying it. I like the idea behind the 2-second delay. I bought a light a couple of years ago with a side pressure switch, it kept switching on in my pocket. Nice light but, I couldn’t pocket carry it.
