I was surprised by the lack of plastic. The box was sealed too. The grey was nice, I needed a change up from black.

I do like it even with its more unusual shape, probably not the best for long term use for for some quick light from a small pocket light it's impressive.

Just retired my Fenix TK 11 for a Surefire G2Z. The TK was in the nightstand next to my pistol for when something went bump in the night. I can't complain, I must have had the Fenix for 10 years and it still works but 250 lumens seems like a night light next to the 800 from Surefire. Good lights last a long time. The Fenix replaced a Surefire G2 that also still works :)

I see a pattern, you swing from Surefire to Fenix every few years,...I wonder what Fenix model will be on your nightstand next? Lol

It seems to me that these days, there are fewer choices for pure tactical lights with a single rear clicky and a single brightness. For a tactical light, simplicity is what I want. One of my other lights is a Sunwayman V11 that is infinitely variable. It is great for walking the dog, but always seems to be set at the wrong level of brightness when I turn it on. This is not a behavior you want when you need to illuminate a target. That is one of the reasons Surefire tactical lights are popular: simple and indestructible

I have looked at the Klarus range in the past, some of their models have two buttons on the tail, one of which is dedicated 'tactical',...I can't say how good they actually are but I thought that that's a good idea.

Yeah--that's substantial for an AA light, but I hear Malkoff is great.

Just ordered the Klarus XT11X tactical with 3200 lumens. I've got a couple of Olights and a 5.11 TMT A2, but this is my first lightsaber.

Brand new Peak Eiger HiCRI in brass is on its way.
(side note:anyone know what the max brightness,in lumens,is on a HiCRI Eiger?)

I'll be running it on Energizer E92 lithium AAA batteries.

Been looking for a keychain with a clicky or switch instead of twisty. I was considering the Nitecore Tip/Tini/Tube, but really wanted something smaller. I came across this and thought I’d give it a try.
