I had an Amazon gift card gifted to me recently and had no idea what to do with it. I was going to save it for a future order but started looking at some of the budget Thorfire offerings; all seem to be favorable. I ended up settling on a C8s, although some of the Thorfire VG models looked good, but I have quite a few similar lights...I've been meaning to pick up a budget thrower like the C8s for some time now.
Am I right in saying that that won't tail stand though? That's one thing that I generally look for in all my lights, being able to use them like a candle to light an whole room or the inside of an oven for example, yesterday I had to do just that while trying to fit a new heating element.
No, the tail cap extends a little too far out of the body to allow for a tail stand. Even if that weren't the case I'd be worried about how easily something so small could be knocked over while working in a confined space such as an oven. Although, that said, You COULD try clipping it to the rack as an option. Last time I replaced an element I used my Fenix PD32UE and simply propped it against the side wall.
No chance of being able to clip a light this time, all the racks had to be removed to get access to the element in the first place. I should have got one of my headlights but went with the tail stand option for quickness.
I will try to take pics of the unboxing. Beam shots will take some time as I live in a well lit condo community. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Olight S1R arrived the other day, I have been trying it out as often as possible and I think it might be *the* light.
A little underwhelmed with the Surefire EDCL1-T. The obvious solution to this problem was to gift the EDCL1 to a friend that needed a light and then order both a Tactician and an EDCL2-T. The Tactician should arrive tomorrow, EDCL2 is backordered.
It's not the light, thanks to the pocket clip. Fell out of my pocket this evening... Grr Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
Jetbeam T6 professional and a couple of Nitecore Tinis! If the SF EDCL2-T or Tactician becomes available, I might have that on the way too. Edited to add: The Surefire EDCL2-T is now on its way.
