That's about the same amount of talent I have, knot wise.
1. Buy Ashleigh Book of Knots
2. Learn all knots
Not until you can do something lots of other people can't

My fire school teacher left me with this advice “if you can’t remember the knots just tie a lot”.
If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the Knots 3D app is available for 99¢ right now (normally $5). It was free a couple of days ago, but not anymore. It has about 80 knots and animations show how to tie each one, as well as descriptions of what each knot is good for.
Oh man if 'Ol Stormdrane sees this thread it's gonna take six pages to contain all the knots he knows. That guy is a knot tying fool. He taught me everything I know.

Double and triple fishermans knots
I can also tie lanyards - paracord bracelets etc
I'd like to think I know enough but I somehow doubt it. And I don't really practice them. I'll be changing jobs soon, so I might take the time to build a practice rig!
As ppfd said, I can tie my shoes.
Don't know the names of knots but if I forget them, it's only a quick search away via the trusty cellphone. Would like to learn more by rote memorization but, as I rarely get to use them on the job, they are quickly forgotten. My boss frowns upon standing around tying knots, when there's freight to unload.
My most used knot is the grinner knot.
Me too. Coincidentally, I can tie a bow-tie
Hangman's noose. Seriously. I use a modified version as a lanyard on many of my knives. It has many nonhanging applications.
The knife in the pic below has one:
How about the ole Mississippi stump puller.....?
Welcome to my world.
and my shoes.
Edited to add:
don't know if it actually a knot but I know how to do the whipping thing on the end of a rope.
Cobra stitch, and Diamond Knot only. I suck at tying things.
I know some knots, but making them is horrible for me . So I sat in front of my laptop and follow the instructions of knot related sites or some youtube-videos. And for the Diamond knot I need the help from my daughter .
I've been looking at the knife. Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh and bowline family, trucker hitch, and a stopper everything else is just fancy.
Thanks Mumbo: it's a Boye's dendritic cobalt sailing knife with a ti marlin spike. It's my swimmin' knife. And in case you were wondering that picture was taken at Bathtub Beach in Stuart Florida.
The one handed bowline is my signature knot...
