If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the Knots 3D app is available for 99¢ right now (normally $5). It was free a couple of days ago, but not anymore. It has about 80 knots and animations show how to tie each one, as well as descriptions of what each knot is good for.

Oh man if 'Ol Stormdrane sees this thread it's gonna take six pages to contain all the knots he knows. That guy is a knot tying fool. He taught me everything I know.

I'd like to think I know enough but I somehow doubt it. And I don't really practice them. I'll be changing jobs soon, so I might take the time to build a practice rig!

As ppfd said, I can tie my shoes. :D

Don't know the names of knots but if I forget them, it's only a quick search away via the trusty cellphone. Would like to learn more by rote memorization but, as I rarely get to use them on the job, they are quickly forgotten. My boss frowns upon standing around tying knots, when there's freight to unload.

Hangman's noose. Seriously. I use a modified version as a lanyard on many of my knives. It has many nonhanging applications.
The knife in the pic below has one:

I know some knots, but making them is horrible for me :cold: . So I sat in front of my laptop and follow the instructions of knot related sites or some youtube-videos. And for the :censored: Diamond knot I need the help from my daughter .
