Funny, my first Kershaw was a Leek too, I got myself a blue smoke one in January myself. Where did you find yours if I may ask? I don't think I've seen one like you just described before.
I've got 2 Gerber knives on the way to me. One is a tiny gerber/bear grylls (about 6cm in total) which I thought was bigger (didn't read the specs) and I thought I'd got a bargain for $6.... And I also bid on a Gerber Bear grylls tanto blade which I also won for $15 (looks like a gerber warrant - plan to remove the ally handles and wrap para cord on it). Never owned a FB before so just using it as a mess about blade really. Anyone suggest a wrap technique for knife handles?? Remove the core of the paracord so it flattens off or keep the core in?
Found it on ebay. $34.99 with Free shipping. They look sweet. Do a search. Tan Kershaw Leek is what i searched
Well, the fake one hasnt even shipped yet and I found a nice PT here in the Netherlands... So I bought it, what would you guys think would be a good price for thisun? (seller is a knifemaker and pressed a slightly bigger pushpin in in so it stopped a bit sooner, original pin is included)
Nice! Funny I've never seen them before though, they seem to be around since 2010 at least. edit: apparently only 550 of these were made, I can't find any of them for sale on ebay. It seems like you had a pretty nice score for only 34,99
Ok, now that you've told me everything I wanted to know (I'm serious), tell me one more thing... How long will the 5 Colors Series be around? I can't buy all 5 immediately and I want to collect all of them
Hey buddy, Here is the link. there are 2 left I think.. There is also a combo blade up there too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Kershaw-Ken-Onion-Leek-Tan-Black-Folding-Knife-1660DSBLK-/370766311130?pt=Collectible_Knives&hash=item565364eeda
Kinda hard to say, since the PT hasn't been in production for a while, probably around $280-$300. Although supposedly a new gen of PT is coming out this year, so that may make the old ones a little cheaper.
Thanks man, paid 225 euro, thats about 290 usd, shipped... It does not make me feel bad! plus I wanted one for some time, so, good deal...
A Benchmade 940 AXIS - 940-121 - CPM-M4 Blade - Carbon Fiber/Anodized Titanium Handle - 2012 GOLD CLASS.. should be in my hand on Saturday! and I'll be sure to post some non prof shots!!!!
I'm a big fan of the cobra knot for something like this...could be i can tie it with my eyes shut, but would provide good cover and great grip...just make sure to keep it tight and keep sliding each "knot" up
