I suspected so much :) I haven't really started looking yet. I'm going to get a Medium Congress or Congress next. Not sure of the handles yet though. Could you do me a favor and measure the length of your Camper closed? That way I'll have an idea of how much larger it is compared to the Jr Scout.

My knife is 3 and 3/4" long closed.

I saw on that link that JR is 3 5/8" so not THAT much.

I saw some other brand campers on Ebay...

A Bark River Fox River Knife in Amboynia Burl from here via J S Burlys.

Jon has it posted somewhere in the Bark River sub-forum but I'll repeat it here, any of the Bark River items you see on that site he can get in a couple days and for a little bit less than the posted price. Just contact him to set it up.

Check out the video comparison of the Case Camper and Vic old Soldier on YouTube. Ignore the girl giving the review, she doesn't even pronounce Victorinox correctly. But that is the only video I could find on a Case Camper. Using the Vic old Soldier as a reference the Case Camper appears substancially larger than the Jr Scout. Maybe because it is thicker as well as longer it seems more larger than the measurements suggest. Thanks for taking the time to measure your Camper for me, I appreciate it.

Earlier this week, received a silver alox Victorinox Farmer, and a Vic One Handed Trekker <thanks, Marc!> I'm impressed with the quality and price of both. I've owned a few Wenger SAKs but never had a Vic. I've been moving to lighter, slimmer knives lately because they're easier to carry, take up less pocket space, and fit easily into a cutter case (narrow leather sheath). I use a sheath because I don't like to scratch up SAKs or others in my pocket.

The Farmer is small, slim but solidly built. I like having that wood saw on it. The Trekker feels weighty, solid, and looks well made. I wanted an SAK with a locking blade.
I've heard that there can be some blade play in the 111 mm <?> Vic knives, but I probably won't put it to a lot of hard use.

And if I do, it's inexpensive enough to buy another one!

I have a Cutters Knife and Tool Bengal folding karambit on the way. I should get it next week. While Cutter K&T is no longer, Tom Kyle will still make a knife if asked.

So how many of you can't stay off of the UPS site tracking your incoming knife? Mine is sitting in an airplane in Ontario California. I guess they don't fly on Sundays.

I like UPS, at least their tracking is accurate. The USPS' tracking is pretty much worthless. They might as well not have it.
