Adahn It's says the same about Cryo. I believe(and heard people state it) that it's 8CR13MOV like on most of their budget knives.
Not the most desirable steel but enough for my needs.

After perusing a budget knife thread on another forum I just purchased a Ontario Rat 1. Paid a few bucks more for the OD green handle for a change of pace. It will go in my truck console as a general use beater knife. Hopefully I like it. I've bought two other budget knives in the last month or so after reading a ton of positive reviews on here and elsewhere--the Kershaw Cryo and Mora Companion. I'm not impressed with the Cryo, but I love the Mora. So we shall see how this one turns out...

If you don't like the Cryo then you'll love the RAT, at least I feel so comparing my Cryo 1555Ti with my RAT2.

Still waiting on completion of a short run midtech. Waiting gets harder as time goes...

562CF is a dandy looking knife. Seems not to have a lanyard hole. Unforgivable!!!

WAY up out of my reach in any case!

Not going to spill the beans until I actually get it in hand.

All I will say for now is that it is a new design from a very well known maker.

    Sorry dude.

It's kind of 'don't count your chickensbefore they hatch' thing. I'd hate to get all revved up for a new knife, then get disappointed if it didn't come through for whatever reason.

Trying to not even think about it myself for that very reason, but is tough not to...

I hear ya, I guess people are still used to the old forum where hotlinks were a thing, or are new. But either way thanks for spending a half hour cleaning up after us!

So, I ordered a CRKT Tighe Rade. If the quality is anywhere near that of the Nirk Tighe I have, I will be more than pleased, and from what I've seen, it surpasses the Nirk Tighe's quality. Very excited for this one!
