Just pulled the trigger on the new Heinnie Haynes exclusive Spyderco UKPK with drop point blade. CPM S30V, red G10 scales, bronze washer and a stronger back spring.
I had a hard time resisting that one. I know it sounds silly, but I really don’t need that particular knife Still, knowing how well made they are supposed to be and still feeling a little bummed out by the rather disappointing Maniago HH Urban, I had a noticeable urge to give it a try. Congrats on your catch!
@aicolainen Thanks! I tried but I could not resist. I already have the HH UKPK with leaf shape blade so - yes - I don’t NEED that knife also ... or many of the other knives I own

Been out of Knife buying for a while. But have returned. A Kansept Naska, Spyderco YoJumbo Blackout & a USA Made Knives, custom ZT0640. Sent from my SM-X800 using Tapatalk
Have five knives inbound; Spyderco Delica SS, TKell Tanto, Tkell Raider, Cold Steel AD15 and a Spyderco PM2 SE. The Delica arrives today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Kizer begleiter 2. First black coated blade, not a fan of coated blades but this one looks nice, also like CF.
Nice! I seriously consider getting a SS Spyderco before all models are updated to screwed construction. Just can't seem to make up my mind about which one and pull the trigger.. who am I kidding? deep inside I know it will be the Harpy. Hahaha. Delica in SS is probably a smarter choice though. One that might see enough pocket time to actually justify the acquisition. The Harpy is an absolute classic, but the use case for it (in my life) is pretty slim
I’ve bought every single SS Spyderco that is available including the Harpy (Serrated. The plain edge Harpy is a unicorn). They are supremely well built and hard use. Also slim and wonderful to carry. And reasonably priced! I mean, you really can’t go wrong. The one that absolutely disappears in the pocket is the Dragonfly in SS. Check it out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Thank you for the insight! One step closer to a SS Harpy I think I have enough Dragonflies to get by for a very long time, and super slick SS is probably not ideal for my clipless backpocket carry. Can’t even carry my KC Hap40/Pakkawood like that. But you never know what one might be able to justify given enough time
Ok, it’s enabling time. The Harpy is super cool. But one that is close in size and arguably slightly more practical (although not as cool admittedly) is the Delica SS serrated. Buy them both! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I know you’re trying to be helpful, but I’m not sure I like you anymore… …no, of course I do I think the Harpy will be a good starting point for SS. It may not be the most practical/useful model, but it’ll give me some idea on how I feel about SS overall and help me decide if a more practical/useful design for regular carry would be worth consideration. Worst case, I hate everything about it, but it would still be make a nice ornament for the living room. Yes, yes, I’m sure wife agrees. Very sure…
One more inbound. I couldn’t resist, killer price on this one. Cold Steel 4 Max Elite, $499 reduced to $199. Cold Steel fanatics take note. Also, 4 Max Scout on sale for about $50.
